Model Railway Update 5 - Customising the Metcalfe Viaduct

It's been a while since our last model railway update! This is because we've been having so much fun simply running the trains. But in this video we show you how we built and modified two Metcalfe viaduct kits to create the huge monstrosity that will now dominate our railway.
We used two kits to make it bigger, assembled it on a curve and scratch built extensions to the piers. At the end of the video we run some trains over our new creation.

Wow the first one lasted 20 yrs that's brilliant well done with the building plans. Building stuff for a layout is another way of making things more interesting for both "old" and young modellers.

Thanks. Yes we had a lot of fun on the project together. I think the original viaduct would have lasted longer only my standards are much higher now so it had to be replaced! I'm hoping this viaduct will do more than 20 years. I'll keep you updated...
