About a year ago I uploaded my last time of this game, believing to have gotten a near-perfect run. Well here I am again. Once more, I have to say this is certainly my most optimised and impressive speedrun achievement. Once more, it is world record as of uploading this. But unlike last time, I have little doubt that it will be beaten in a matter of weeks or months, since Kobaltski has taken me up on running this game and even snatched the record a few times from me. Without any new major discoveries that realistically push this game below the next full minute, I will close out this saga though. Major shoutouts to BetaM for initially breaking the game so much, to Kobaltski for competing and strat hunting with me, and to Doom Monkey for finding a few annoying things.

FAQ
Q: Why do you play in Dutch?
A: I play in different languages for fun. It doesn't affect the run.
Q: Why do you play on the hardest difficulty (Bonkers!)?
A: The game straightup runs faster on harder difficulties.
Q: Why do you use 2 players?
A: I can abuse the 2 player mechanic to perform several tricks and skips.
Q: How do you fly?
A: You can fly by stashing your titan during a cutscene.
Q: What do you do at the start next to the Ratcicle? Was that a mistake?
A: I set up the Omnicontrol/Death Cam glitch that allows me to retain control of my character during cutscenes. If the cutscene triggers during the death fade, the glitch will be activated.
Q: How did you beat Cortex so quickly?
A: I sacrifice my Rhinoroller for the chance of a glove powerup drop. I don't know the exact odds of it actually dropping, but it's very rare and luckily I did get it during this incredible run!

Hyperbole aside, sub 5 mins might be possible, since the Doominator is right next to Crash's house.
However, as far as our current knowledge of the game is concerned, the Doominator's loading zone is disabled until you get all the Uka Bones and talk to Uka. And that has its own checklist of mandatory events, including:
1. Finding N. Gin to unlock the Coco boss
2. Defeating Coco to unlock Ratcicle Kingdom and Junkyard loading zones
3. Helping Nina to make the enemies in Junkyard and Mount Grimly spawn, including the Yuktopus
4. Saving Uka to spawn the Titan Heroes guarding the Uka Bones.

its insane to see a 23 min speedrun of a game i played as a 7 year old for like a year :D
I remember when i was 8 years old i finished the game in 45 minutes i was so happy

Crash mutantes
Does the game speedup on Bonkers/Hard work on PSP?
I haven't explicitly tested it with videos side by side but I'm fairly certain it will run faster on Bonkers!/Hard as well!
PSP isn't viable though, since it doesn't have co-op and thus the Deathcam and Flying Titan glitches have been patched.
Also, loading times are abysmal, especially if you're using the original UMD. Wrath of Cortex loads quickly in comparison.
@@DrRank Yeah of course, it's a horrible version to speedrun.
@@PeteThePlayer And a horrible version to play in general. The only real advantage is that Crash emotes properly when his house is under attack, since that cutscene is pre-rendered on PSP.
Would it be faster to shoot chickens at the first Ratcicle?
Cd or Hdd?
@@Tenshiimed Digital version on HDD - but a disc allows you to install the game on HDD too and should be the same speed.
