    Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us safety is first. I always get little nervous when I see a car being towed in the highway n I get the feeling of the car falling off the trailer and causing a really bad accident. Keep up the great work you and thanks for educating us have a Great and safe day

    Cut the toes off old socks and put two socks together on each strap. This will stay on the strap. Putting towels or rags stuffed in the strap can fall off. Those lasso straps should always have the metal loop at the end of the tire. If that tire loses pressure and the strap moves, it becomes loose. Always cross your straps in an X pattern if possible. Your car will never move side to side this way. Etrack stops foward or back motion, not side to side..

      Side to side?? The suspension will already shift weight, and its very unlucky the car would side side to side unstrapped, but with the straps creating a lot more traction, I HIGHLY doubt it would be necessary. Seems like more of an annoyance to be honest

      If any of you transporters think moving exotic cars with less than half an inch or one inch clearance isn't dangerous? I crashed getting cut off by a driver. One inch clearance on both sides and 8 straps, 2 per wheel crossed, and no damage. I TRUST MY TECHNIQUES FOR SECURING CARS. MY FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM AND CZcams SITES show why I'm a preferred transporter. I don't criticize any other guys ways, only offer my opinion.

What kind of features on your enclosed do you recommend? For example, those double wide side swing up doors. Did you need that? Or trailer just came like that?

    Just want to point out at 3:25 if you have to slam on your brakes not only would the strap have to withstand the force due to deceleration, typically the avg driver can brake at 1.4gs so that 3800 lbs would be subject to that force and have an equivelent force of 5300 lbs. Depending on how the braking is done most of the load can be applied to one side of the vehicle. So in theory 1 strap per wheel would not be enough or come really close to the load limit of the strap to hold sustain the vehicle under an emergency brake. Great video and some handy tips. keep up the good work.

      Bullshit. Maximum g-force for most production cars is 0.8g or less.

    Why not just use 8 point straps? This is so much extra strap wise

    • @AztecWarrior69
      @AztecWarrior69 Před 2 lety

      8 point straps are only 4 piont straps. If one of the points breaks the other point just comes loose. Just saying. However they are better. If a Single tire single point strap breaks, the strap on the other tire will let the vehicle roll/slide in the direction the strap is pulling. "8 point" straps will keep the vehicle from doing that.

    Hello. I am looking for tips and suggestions. I am new to vehicle transporting. It is for my personal items only. I have a lifted Jeep on 40" tires. Weight approx. 5000lbs. I have a 22' trailer with drive-over fenders with D-rings on all four corners and in front and back of each trailer wheel-well. Additionally, the trailer has rub rails along each side where chain and hook can be anchored. What would be the best solution for transporting? I see a lot of 4x4 rigs use axle straps with ratchet straps connected to D-rings. I read that the straps should be no less than 45 degrees (axle to D-ring) otherwise there is big loss of tie down force. My ties on the rear axle are at 45 degrees. Front axle straps are less than 45 degrees. Also, should I strap the Jeep body rock sliders to the D-rings next to the trailer fenders to keep the Jeep body from bouncing? Thanks in advance!

    • @incognitoexpress3838
      @incognitoexpress3838  Před 4 lety

      You do not need to strap down to stop the bouncing. The 45° angles not bad but not mandatory. Take for axle straps, go around all four corners of the vehicle, right front tire pole forward left front tire pull forward back right tire pull backwards left back tire pull backwards. After your loaded and ready to go stop after one hour and tighten the straps then drive four hours, and every four hours check the straps. The one thing that you did not mention is the pound ratio for the straps. Get straps that are rated for 5000 pounds per strap. Therefore you would have 10000 Pounds of straps pulling forward and backwards. The reason is most vehicles do not weigh over 5000 pounds so therefore one strap is fine if one was to break. Good luck

    If you have a strap on both front or rear wheels. Then chocks on the other wheels there is no need for the lasso straps! A waste of straps and chance of damage

    You’ve over complicated this. Do one long strap each wheel and make your own loops. Hook to trailer front and back. Will pull down on the wheel and will also keep it from moving forward or backward.

  • @roncummins9614
    @roncummins9614 Před rokem

    Sorry but you're wrong. As the trailer is going down the road those straps will slide down off the tire and come off at the bottom. They need to be at the 10 and 2 o'clock position and tied down on the side not the front or back. Front and back of the tire tie down as you have shown needs a basket strap. People.... Be careful of watching these videos because not all experts are 'experts'.
