I think they are one and the same. They are found in egypt as well. As you said the parallels seem to be to abundant all traits of duck seems like a duck to me

Canaanite rulers communicating with the Pharaohs in the Armana are constantly making requests for military assistance against apiru…what else would established city-states call the nomadic invading Hebrews under Joshua? They fit the description.

I’m struggling with declaring Apiru in the Armana letters are definitely not the Hebrews when the evidence seems to point toward the Apiru possibly being Hebrew, possibly not. Not sure why the conclusive “no”.

So let me get this straight, David employed the Apiru as his army so to speak. The Apiru remained with him when he ascended to the throne. Does that not imply that they became Hebrew? I'm just saying the Apiru seem to figure prominently in the "history" of Israel. How can you say they are not the same?

Then basically, Hebrews COULD have been, depending on the person speaking and their view of the Hebrew people. Corrct? For example in Egypt when the new pharaoh came to being "and knew not Joseph and his story, a new generation who didn't remember... as a derogatory in speaking used this word to describe the Hebrews living in Goshen at the time instead of their actually people group name?

Does this name originate from "HEBRON"? plus the name from Peleg's son-REUW, jus as Yoktan's decendants are the SEFARDI. SOO ARE THEY SEM-REUWEZI? ANYBODY BY THAT NAME?

This was amazing! I've been looking forward to this video for a long time. Thank you, really!
P.S. Do you think this verse is referring to Apiru?
1 Sam. 10 : 26 "And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched."

The Habiru or Apiru were mercenaries for hire. Some may have been but they were not oeople but a caste or class of soldiers for hire.

Yes, "Hebrew" is nothing more than a mispronunciation of the word "Habiru", which is just another way of saying "Apiru". 😊👍

Leave your contacts details and I’ll tell you who the HABIRU, SHASU and APIRU are and where you can find them today and their linguistics and culture is still intact though the west have decimated a lot of it.

The Old Testament is thought of to be literature with meaningful histories woven in. And is highly respected by billions.
So we have to ask, why doesn't the Bible simply say there were Apiru that tormented the Canaanites in the same general area as us Hebrews.
Surely they had to see the similarities. Why wouldn't the Old Testament authors simply say that.

    • @Montreal346
      @Montreal346 Před 9 měsíci +1

Probably because they did not want the Hebrews or israelites to be associated with bandits. Even if their actions betray this disassociation in the end.

Because they had to cover up the lies evidence clearly shows whats happening here we all know a lot of who say they are of whatever descendant really went and killed the original people to now be representing them 😢 all lies are coming to light it's just are we prepared to take the truth I don't think so cause it would show a different color of people..😊

Lets not use habiru in the vid because it sounds too much like hebrew and how can israelites be in Egypt before the formation of israel thats like calling english people in the 1300s the americans. What else, oh yes imagine writing down the story of ww2 but forgetting to write down Hitler's name, which Pharoah exactly? nobody remembered his name or thought to write it down?, hes just pharoah? what a load of.nonsense. there were no jews or Israelites in egypt because there was no Judaism nor israel then but polytheistic habiru (transients, wanderers) for sure

Great video I kind of see it as any Ammonite, Moabite, Edomite, Midianite Shasu etc. That chose to believe in 1 God would probably be considered Habiru....not believing in the God of a city or King would probably make you an outcast. If Salim was the God of of Ursalim. YHWH may have been the desert God in between Salim and Sahar

    They was a mixed company
ʿApiru had no common ethnic affiliations and no common language, their personal names being most frequently West Semitic, but also East Semitic, Hurrian or Indo-European.
