a quick look at the rat box snare trap and i explain how i made it. BOOKS I HAVE WRITTEN ARE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON SURVIVAL TRAPPING: goo.gl/iiseLg REPURPOSED BUSHCRAFT GEAR: goo.gl/B3anG5
If you are concerned about the wood splitting, try pre drilling the hole for the nail and put a little glue on it near the stick so when you push the nail through the glue secures the nail in the trigger stick.
just ordered ya book as a previous catch and release trap you made worked so well for them. but the rats are back and time wise they have decided to just nail the problem as humanely and quick asap
Yes, works for pheasants, rooks and pigeons, instead of a square box use round pipe, 4 inch diameter, bury into the ground and sprinkle make on a modified trigger stick that has a plate on it. Lethal for when the wheat and maize fields have just been planted.

Iv a problem of mice taking the bait off the rat traps atm and slugs eating the peanut butter! Any tips?
try wrapping the bait with string and put some salt on and around the traps mate
