I asked Varma ji and he said that's what he gathered too. He always makes it a point to stress again and again that he is not a Sanskrit scholar and that he is doing these videos just for the love of these beautiful songs.
We are oriental, Kipling was occidental! And having lived in India, he probably got the idea from reading and thinking over our philosophies which preceded him by millennia!
Pardon me, if there is any stupidness in my doubt. Sir, whether Sri Thyagaraja swami was the composer of all these pancharatna kritis or he was the Lyricist only????
