    This is one of the best vids I’ve seen. No music or rambling on about what you did and how you did it. Machine sounds great and definitely like the tips. Nice work on your XP AND the vid.

    How are the sound levels compared to stock? Does it still drone in the midrange like stock?

    • @trandall
      @trandall  Před 3 lety

      Much, much louder than stock, sounds great though, but louder, and it does tend to drone at certain rpms, but half of that is also my custom cage now and its different profile. I usually wore earmuffs when riding for any extended period of time due to that. I've since then made slightly different muffler and its quieter and much more tolerable.

      The muffler is a one inlet, to an internal T then dual outlet on each side, so as long as you have the inlet going to the right place, you can mount it however you want and use any F-body muffler really

Good deal, that's exactly why I went this route, liked the idea of the Gibson but didn't like the price, but in the end probably cost me just as much in supplies and time, but is a packed muffler versus chambered. Cost around $500 in parts by the time it was all said in the done, but then took some time to get it all designed and built. No idea on HP numbers, I'd say it maybe gained 2-3 just guessing but it seems to have a little better low end along with noticeable better throttle response. Troy Randall. Great. Last question is how loud is it? Is it obnoxious or is it a tolerable good sound

    • @trandall
      @trandall  Před 3 lety +1

      @@jesssantinio6935 That is one drawback/plus depending what you're after, it is loud, and I mean LOUD. So loud that I usually wear my bluetooth earmuffs when out riding it on the trails. It sounds really good but it does tend to drone which can get to you. That is actually why I made a second version here just a few weeks ago, just a single in on one side and dual out the other facing downward much like the factor muffler look, and it is quieter but still sounds almost as good as this one. Then with it I can actually use a 2.5" quiet cap on one tip and that quiets it down even more, almost just a little above stock then. I'm going to try to get a video made up and posted of it here soon.
