- I made this compilation of one of my favourite hillclimb sounding engine: the BMW 3.0 liters inline-6. You can hear it in a few different hillclimb prototypes (Lucchini, Osella PA20/S, Sighinolfi) I saw in the last 2 years here in Italy.

The reason for the sound is the 6 into 1 180 degree header
All of the exhaust tubes are equal length and routed via the firing order for this sound
EPIC induction sound, then raspy exaust. I love BMW straight 6's!

Very sexy engine sound, and that is high praise for someone whose biggest passion is V8:s. I'm quite surprised actually,I've never heard a 6 cylinder engine that I like before.

sounds nice but i dont like the way it kind of lost its grip when taking off after going through corners, but its a prototype
Formula 1 cars do that too.... If you're not losing grip going out of a corner, you don't have enough power;) being a prototype has nothing to do with it.
its just because of not so much aero-grip in slow corners and also because of torque.

Thanks! To be honest I don't know exactly, probabily they are the same of the M3 E36. What I know is that all these engines (or nearly all) are modified by Armaroli Sport. The max power should be somewhere between 370-390 bhp
