  • Former West Indies captain Jason Holder says that his experience of watching from the sidelines as West Indies secured a stunning eight-run victory over Australia at the Gabba in January has given him "renewed energy".
Holder is set to face England at Lord's in his first Test for almost a year.
Holder was among a senior core of players who chose to play in cash-rich global Twenty20 leagues rather than tour Australia, opting to fulfil his lucrative deal with Dubai Capitals in the ILT20.
"I was just so happy for the boys when they did what they did in Australia. And, you know, for me, it gave me a renewed energy just to come back to the group, you know, and try to be a part of something special again," Holder todl reporters.
"I missed Test cricket," the 32-year-old added.
