      Aswell as following eleven’s very sensible advice above (so sensible I didn’t think of it).
      You must buy something like a blue herring bone checked suit. An elegant Dion blue would be advised. One featuring opulent gold trims and a subtle heritage check perhaps. One styled to create a true impression, it must be an eye catching suit with an on-trend yet luxurious slim-fitting look, with a coordinating waistcoat and pocket square as well as a stylish gold contrast lining and the seal of a quality lapel pin from the designer. The Designer has to have a very sweet sounding poetic name also. One that makes you imagine they’re very attractive.
      This essential addition to your life will definitely mean your neighbours will think you do important business stuff as they see you going out your front door and later walking back in (just don’t walk back in immediately, they may catch on) Oh and buy a brief case.
      Please don’t ask what type of brief case, sorry Ive got some urgent business stuff to do right now. - I just don’t have time. 😊

    Thanks a lot for this video, this is something I was looking for as a layman because to my knowledge this is one of the rare videos that finally explains this topic in an easy-to-understand way.
    My CD player has an optical output so I could use the optical input of such speakers, right?
    Do such speakers support the FLAC codec either?
    Is the normal USB port as seen in this video only there to charge a smartphone, for example, or can it also be used to play digital music files from external storage media? If not, how can I do that without using a PC? That's also part of "streaming" for me.

    • @dananskidolf
      @dananskidolf Před rokem +1

      > My CD player has an optical output so I could use the optical input of such speakers, right?
      Yeah the Tuk here had that option that would work for you.
      > Do such speakers support the FLAC codec either? Is the normal USB port as seen in this video only there to charge a smartphone, for example, or can it also be used to play digital music files from external storage media? If not, how can I do that without using a PC?
      Codecs are processed before they get to these speakers - they're the first thing in the digital audio playback chain:
      Encoded data (e.g. flac) -> Decoded data (e.g. optical connection) -> analog line level -> analog speaker level -> speaker
      The speakers here handle most of that with inbuilt components, but not that first decoding step. Decoding is typically done by a CPU of some sort - your phone, PC or many TVs and consoles and streamers. I would expect no such CPU in this speaker - you'd need to connect it to one of the above devices that also supports decoding the files on a USB drive.
      The USB port on here isn't for connecting a drive, and I wouldn't expect it to charge a smartphone either. It's just an alternative input for the same data as the optical input.

    • @sonang7721
      @sonang7721 Před 2 lety

      Better to just set up a 2.0 or 2.1 system with your Soundblaster. You're gonna need 2 pairs of YU4 for the main left-right and surround channels, a powered sub and another single speaker of somekind for the center channel. Don't know if you have the deskspace for that kind of setup though.

    • @viice_
      @viice_ Před 2 lety +2

      I was thinking about this too, since i've also a soundblaster z. But then you would connect the speakers with AUX and therefore use the soundblaster z as DAC.
      Now the main question would be, if the soundblaster z DAC is better than the build-in Kanto DACs. And my guess would be, that the SB z is worse. Also it's impossible to use the SB z optical output, because it's impossible to daisy chain the speakers as a 5.1 system. That would end up in left speaker -> right speaker -> right speaker -> right speaker and so on 😂

    Also cheaper active studio monitors do have hissing as they have higher noise floor. There is no way to get rid of it, better quality monitors that are more expensive have lower noise floor.

      The Rodecaster Pro 2 doesn't have an optical output. You probably just want to pickup 1/4" to RCA cables to connect TUK to the Rodecaster.

    The SPDIF cable is subject to the same interference as the analogue as its constructed the same way out of the same materials. That leaves the toslink as the only dgital input not subject to external interference by electro magnetic devices. While the toshiba cable can be a superior transmission method the standards of what can be delivered via toslink have never been updated as its really glorified fishing line, not fibre, but will be fine for 2 channel.
    I have strange visions of a speaker drying to make sense of a SPDIF transmission, when I would have thought the electronics on the back plate would have done that.

      Use a single RCA to dual RCA cable. One end has only one male RCA connector for the YU2 and the other has a right and left.

      If you're using RCA you can reverse the right and left cables. If you're using digital then you're out of luck unless the speaker has a L/R swap feature. Out of all of our current speakers, TUK is the only one that can swap channels.

    ARCe.... let's add more stuff to our HDMI and who's going to control the music? Yamaha, Klipsch, McIntosh or Windows 11. Yes, most kid's don't even know what real music truly sounds like today. Luckily I grew up in a bedroom that was full the bands equipment and I never want to hear another Beatles song ever again. But the Digital and Dalby industry destroyed true sound quality for many year's, it was sad. Every CD sounded like crap but tape didn't get stuck on track 6, lol. Yes lm happy to see true sound quality in every topic these days, as music 🎶 makes the sole happy 😊.
    Rock on my friend, good topic.
    Thanks again!
    Don't forget to stack up them old klipsch speakers to the ceiling for an awesome sound stage system sound up-front 🎶....

    How do I hook up 2 studio monitors to pc if there's only 1 head phone jack?

    • @KantoSolutions
      @KantoSolutions  Před rokem

      Headphone jacks are stereo so you should be able to buy a cable that splits left and right signal to each speaker. This that being said, if you have studio monitors you probably want an audio interface that has balanced outputs.

      @@fabs8883 Studio monitors are designed to accept a 4 V balanced signal. If you use a weaker source like your PC you'll have to turn up the gain on the monitors to compensate which will increase the noise floor potentially causing audible hiss - a complaint I see on forums all the time.

    Hello! In terms of the internal amp in the speakers, does bluetooth and RCA have the same capability of making it louder?
    I bought these speakers (the YU base) to connect to my Peloton bike (Android-based) and Peloton disabled the option to turn the absolute volume function so it sends a weaker output to the speaker. When I connect my iPhone to them I get amazing sound but the Peloton is definitely not loud enough to my wants.
    Thanks for the help!

    • @KantoSolutions
      @KantoSolutions  Před rokem +1

      You should be able to get sufficiently loud volume from any input - there shouldn't be much difference between them. Keep in mind that YU does not support absolute volume - the volume control of our speakers is separate and untethered from the Bluetooth device's volume. Even if you have the bike's volume at its highest you may still need to increase the volume of YU from the remote or the control knob on the front.

    • @MrGustavosco
      @MrGustavosco Před rokem

      @@KantoSolutions Volume on both is at maximum (bike and speaker). My iPhone knocks it out of the park, but not the bike. It’s very different, like 2x louder, and both on bluetooth.
      It is somewhat loud but not as great as I wanted when I got the setup. If I had the same volume as I get from my phone I would be very happy. Is adding a bluetooth amp to the RCA port and connecting the bike to the bluetooth external amp a possible fix?

    • @KantoSolutions
      @KantoSolutions  Před rokem

      @@MrGustavosco You could buy an external Bluetooth receiver and connect it to RCA but I doubt that would solve the issue as you may very well get low volume output on it as well.
