It would depend on champion mods, but I feel TC for the nearly free abilities, Repulsor/Destabilizing shotty (Mine is Retold Tale), and my Cluster Bomb Royal Entry would be a neat trio of weapons.
Rockets can deal with overloads for now, which is handy, so it's just unstoppable that makes a problem.

This is one of my favorite titan builds and I’m my personal opinion VEX CALIBUR puts in the most work. The idea being that normal melees count as powered melees when you have an oversheild. Use the glaive to get full oversheild swap off and melee the world. Once you get comfortable you can swap out bastion for offensive bulwark.

  • @haych569
    @haych569 Před 8 měsíci +10

Meleeing with an overshield counts as a powered melee for Severance Enclosure (with Offensive Bbulwark, of course). Running Bastion, or even Vexcalibur or Edge of Action, are great ways of getting an overshield (the latter two especially if you're looking to not run Bastion and still want on demand overshield)

I've been running a build like for ages now, way before they buffed severance enclosure. I did Day 1 RoN and solo flawless'd dungeons with it.
    I use the following:
    Apects: Bastion and Controlled demo
    Frags: Cessation, Starvation, Vigilance, Obscurity
    Grenade: Vortex
    Class Item: Towering Barricade
    Melee: Shield Throw
    Current weapons:
    1) Witherhoard/Aurvandil
    2) Funnelweb
    3) Apex/Tiapan
Helmet: Harmonic Siphon, Heavy ammo finder, and scout.
Arms: Impact Induction, Momentum Transfer, and Firepower.
    Chest: All resistance mods
Legs: Recuperation, Absolution, and Better already.
Class Item: Healthy Finisher, Proximity Ward, and Reaper.
If you have any questions let me know.

    here's a doozie, a mechaneer's tricksleeves build that's actually quite good
Subclass: Solar (use whatever super you feel like)
Aspects: Whichever is good, I usually don't run gpg for the extra fragments slots
Fragments: Mercy, Torches, Tempering, Solace and Empyrean
Grenade: Healing nade, you need this in order to survive when you prock the active ability, though this is actually not needed
    Mods:
Head- Harmonic siphon is the big one, I also recommend an ammo finder since you're going to be getting a LOT of kills with exotic primaries
Arms- Double harmonic reloaders and an impact induction for that juicy healing nade
Chest- I like running charged up for an extra bit of time with the surges, the rest is up to you
Legs- Double solar surge and recuperation
Cape- Time Dilation, the rest is once again, up to you
The exotic weapon is Devils Ruin, trust me this thing SHREDS when you can reload it this much, and with the buff active you actually dont need to reload at all, making it fire back to back lasers as long as you get a kill. With the amount of adclear and even burst damage you get out of this thing you generate firespites and ammo like crazy, as well as orbs of light which I think after ''reloading'' the cooldown of the syphon gets reset, so armor charges wont be an issue either.
This also works fantastically well with the artifact this season, getting radiant is absurdly easy. Honestly I'd say that running a special weapon is almost overkill (but I usually run a sniper in the other slot). For the heavy use whatever, the focus of the build is devils ruin, but highly recommend a solar rocket, overload and all that. I actually run GMs and the dungeon with this and it feels strong.
Some things I've noticed using this: If you have 2 pistols you dont actually need to swap, but the issue is, well, 2 pistols so you gent shanked at range (although the laser is good at range too), and if you dont get a kill with the buff it is faster to swap to your other weapon and then back to the devils, that will reload it from reserves.
    Enjoy!

      @muteloch2798 Před 8 měsíci +1

Hey, you might have something special with this pairing.
Severence Enclosure triggers on "powered melee" kills, and for void having an overshield changes melee to powered.
Would require weapon swapping to use, but there are times when punching a red bar will be more effective than spraying to hit a finisher.

New pacific epitaph from gotd. It gets a free reload from finishers thanks to its origin trait, plus can get some nasty combos like demo/pugilist. Being a wave frame, its perfect for weakening multiple targets at once to be finished off by the severance enclosure. Plus it frees you up to run a void weapon still.

  • @PixelleHearts
    @PixelleHearts Před 8 měsíci

The whole reason why Severance is completely slept on is, yes, it is an add clear demon, BUT if also has the drawback of literally knocking away your targets which sucks absolute balls, especially in higher end content where distance is literal points of HP lost per second of downtime. Even in low end content, forcing your higher priority targets out of range makes it so they have ample time to retaliate. It's definitely a fun build, but extremely unviable. To be fair to the buildcrafter, you also were using like tier 4 strength which increases the downtime of your melee significantly. I'm pretty sure Monte Carlo's melee gain trait is a flat energy per hit rather than percentage based outside of its lucky refresh proc. Running higher discipline on a devour based build is dumb, not only because you are supposed to be killing a massive amount of enemies with the explosion during devour to get your grenade back anyway, BUT also because devour is a percentage based buff, meaning, regardless of what your grenade cooldown duration is, devour will scale because it gives 15% of your grenade ALWAYS per kill. This means, running higher discipline is truly only effective during down time where adds are not present like in a boss arena where it's just the boss or when moving from location to location, which this build does not capitalize on since it needs add dense situations to thrive.

    Solar Hunter Build: Lucky Cowboy
    Exotics: Lucky Pants, Crimson
    Super: Golden Gun (Marksman)
Aspects: Knock 'Em Down, On Your Mark
Fragments: Torches, Char, Empyrean, Ember, Singeing
Healing Grenade, Knife Trick/Proximity Knife, Gamblers Dodge
Head: 2x Hands On + Heavy Ammo Finder
Arms: 2x Impact Induction, Impact Induction
    Chest: Harmonic Reserves, Resistance Mods
    Legs: 2x Kinetic Surge, Innervation
    Cloak: Bomber, Reaper
Note: Kinetic Surges stack with your Golden Gun super, as does Lucky Pants and Radiance. Crimson is useful because it allows you to get to the 10 stacks of bonus damage very quickly, so you can fire 3 times with Crimson, cast your super, and hit an enemy for some absolutely nuclear damage. Spire of the Watcher Cloak necessary for cool points.

    @SlimeyZockt Před 7 měsíci

Probably not as noteworthy, but snap melee, heat rises and Felwinters Helm. An amazing combo that can literally keep an entire room debuffed while you just have fun.
I use it with Icarus dash for movement and healing nade for emergencies. I also play Searing for firesprites, Mercy for restoration on firesprites (sometimes comes in clutch) and then Solace and Empyrian. Also I play phoenix dive with dynamo for insanely fast supers and on my arms I got focusing strike and melee kickstart, on the legs elemental charge (for all the firesprites) and powerful attraction plus double outreach on the class item.
Now for a little explanation: You have 4 different ways of healing. 1 the grenade, 2 the dive, 3 the firesprites and 4 when you consume your grenade and do a dive you get resto x2. In case you worry about getting your melee back, kills with an incandescent give it back aswell as your dive, and while you are airborn any kill gives you around 1/5 of your melee back (varies on enemy type). This encludes bunny hopping, it will still count as airborn. So just throw your melee while bunny hopping and you see great success. Also works with guns. Just jump once you are about to kill.
One thing of note: Firesprites currently reset your timer when you collect them, so they take you from restoration at 12 seconds to 3 on the timer. just be mindful of that as there are going to be alot in a tight room, but if you ever need a quick heal and don't want to (or can't) use any ability, you can collect them for restoration.
Weapons don't quite matter, I do recommend an incandescend weapon though, as it helps getting your melee faster.
One last trick I have is that you can focus your melee on targets that will survive it, since the ignition can still trigger the Exotics perk, as long as another ad get caught in the explosion. So basically in ad dense rooms, you can just focus the majors while you debuff the big guys.
This build works wonders solo or in teams, as you can shut down an entire room and help buddies with damage while still being able to speedrun with wellskating and don't always have to go tractor.
Have fun testing if you want to and see the enemy suffer by your hands
Actually last note: Most of this build can be changed to suit the situation. When you are desperate on solar nades, you can change either heat rises or icarus (whatever is less useful to you) for touch of flame and change your nade, or just change your nade without the aspects. This build is really flexible as there is no real requirement what to run as far as weapons go, as the melee will be your main focus and the weapons are there to finish whatever survived the explosions while they are debuffed. A solar weapon really helps keeping the restoration though.
This build is my favourite since plunder, it will always be a staple in my loadouts

Ok i have a build⚠️. Its a perfected strand hunter for endgame. Very survivability heavy. I wanna keep it short tho so im not gonna read out obvious things like super.
    But u will want:
    Gamblers dodge
    Grapple
    Widows silk
    Threaded specter
    Generation
    Continuity (sever)
    Isolation
    Ascent
    Cyrtarachnes facade
Helmet mods r mostly up to u except siphon mods. Other than that heavy ammo, super energy, whatever really.
    Arms is very important tho.
Heavy handed, impact induction, focusing strike.
Chest piece is mostly up to u but a good resist mod and i like charged up but yeah mostly up to scenario.
Legs have both innervation and better already. Just like the chest piece, i like stacks on stacks but its not NECESSARY but i do like it alot and for this it makes things easier.
    Class is important.
UTILITY KICKSTART (most important mod on the build) powerful attraction and bomber.
Good exotic weapons r monte carlo for more sever and quicksilver feels good too, cant go wrong with wish ender, yeah its mostly up to u. Good heavy weapons r retrofit and apex.
Ok legit the most important part by far. Gameplay loop.
Start grappling in, getting woven mail from facade, grapple melee to proc impact induction, unravel, and if u used ur class ability, it procs focusing strike. Then dodge to put the decoy down, collect orbs with powerful attraction for ur next utility kickstart, and use bomber for ur nade back, then grapple back out or re-proc woven mail, which u can do by grappling the floor, taking only half of the charge, and reloading the equipped weapon, including the heavy weapon as we know. And then using a melee or hitting headshots on a tanky target severs, giving u access to woven mail, sever, and decoys. Its overkill until u feel immortal in high end content. Mastery comes from woven mail uptime and mostly decoy positioning. Sometimes u gotta proc woven mail to survive to get the decoy in the right place. But if u play it perfectly, u never die. Create orbs, grapple in, grapple melee, dodge, grapple out or re-proc woven, sever stuff, Repeat. Ability uptime, survivability, mobility, and fun after mastery, all through the roof. Enjoy.

You mentioned the two healing mods might be overkill. No, this is overkill on regen:
    - Banner of war with into the fray
    - Standard fragments for grenade regen, woven mail on orb, etc
    - precious scars
    - strand primary and strand machine gun, slice preferred for even more resist and safety
    - buried bloodline
Gameplay loop is to open with a melee for banner of war, then a few kills with buried bloodline for devour, then use the machine gun or primary for restoration and devour reprocs. Make sure to make a bunch of orbs and tangles to keep woven mail up too.

    @benblaylock4036 Před 8 měsíci +1

I think maybe the buried bloodline with the catalyst would work really well because you'd get devour and weaken enemy's while devour is active so more damage OR collective obligation and you can tune your fragments to blast everything away with a nuke and they can't fight back because suppressed weakened from a juiced suppressor grenade and the volatile from controlled demo will give you collective at full power. for the one two finisher issue just use stacks on stacks to always have a bunch of armor charges. :D

    • @benblaylock4036
      @benblaylock4036 Před 8 měsíci

^buried bloodline lets you free up a fragment slot so you don't need starvation you can use cessation, obscurity, provision for melee energy from grenade kills, and persistence. this lets bloodline function at full power granting devour AND weaken increasing your grenade uptime which grant more melee energy and adding stacks on stacks for armor charges basically gives you a base line of 3 always which increases melee uptime. Use retrofit escapade with turnabout if you want an overshield or if you wanna be even ballsier use crownsplitter as a invis rotation for alot of damage and a demo primary or pugilist if you want melee energy instead.

I use a similar build, but instead of focusing on melees I focus on grenades. Use Echo of Cessation, Instability, Undermining, and Starvation. Instead of Bastion I use Offensive Bulwark and Shield Charge to help with grenade with over shield uptime, with devour on you also can rely on that to help generate grenade energy, use the finishers for volatile explosions to keep sustain and for Explosive Finisher for even more grenade energy. I also run with a Demo + Frenzy Unforgiven to even push the grenade recharge more. You get good sustain because your volatile explosion heal you and allies. I am missed a piece of the puzzle though. I want to run a Demo + Osmosis Auto in the Kinetic slog to take advantage of wave frame GLs but I haven't gotten the one I have been hunting, The Last Breath. For my heavy I would just run Levi's Breath because with weaken and volatile it just makes it hit harder.

You could potentially run a double special build with sword breaker from crota and buried bloodline. Use the sidearm to proc devour, that frees up your fragments to use the one that reloads your weapon on suppression. Use shield bash to reload your weapon(s), clean up anything left with swordbreaker.

Monte Carlo for melee energy and swap One-Two Finisher for Healthy Finisher because it only takes one charge and then in your boots you can put Recuperation for health pickups, Innervation for grenade, Orbs of Restoration to top up whatever ability is low (can use Stacks on Stacks instead if you don't feel you need it).
Since you are using Monte Carlo most of the time to generate melee energy, energy slot can be for damage or utility: One-Two Punch shotgun, Disorienting Grenades GL, or Scout/Bow/Sniper for range. Vouchsafe (scout) with Repulsor Brace and Destabilising Rounds or Lethophobia (craftable bow) with Disruption Break might be fun.

I feel like Graviton Lance would be good because the build is centered around explosions. So just get one red bar kill, then the purple balls weaken the other red bars or yellow bars, and then use a finisher for even more explosions. Monte Carlo is also a good choice though.

@Kenz305 for me, anything that is harder to aim or can self damage in pve is not a good choice. Wall grenade is a throw and forget useful tool. The devour procs grant you 2 or 3 times getting you more than half you grenade back already after you throw it and repeated heals.

    Mods
Helmet: Harmonic Siphon, Ashes to Assets
Arms: Font of focus, impact induction, harmonic loader
    Chest: reserves/resistances
    Legs: Recuperation, double solar surges
    Class: bomber, distribution, powerful attraction
Weapons, a solar primary, to make orbs, and Dragons Breath is the main damage part.
Subclass: Well of Radiance, Heat Rises, Touch of Flame. Fragments: Mercy, Eruption, Ashes, Empyrean.
Abilities: Fusion grenade, celestial fire, and healing rift
    Feel free to change whatever

I have a build idea I wanna share and my build is on the shinobu's vow. I was going for a spam skip grenade build. So the first thing you want obviously is the skip grenade and the aspects that I chose is flow state and lethal current to get amplified. The fragments I chose were spark of shock and spark of ions for jolting enemies when throwing the grenade and getting ions for ability regen, the two empty fragment spaces is your choice but I chose spark of beacons and amplitude. Now the mods, for the helmet I chose ashes to assets, special ammo finder, and harmonic siphon. Arms I chose fire power, grenade kickstart, and impact induction. Chest is your choice for resistance, legs stacks on stacks, elemental charge, and innervation, and finally class item reaper, powerful attraction, and time dilation. I am using arc special weapons for the spark of beacons fragment that I chose so if you use the same fragments I highly recommend using arc special weapons. So that's my will it build and hope you try it out.

Severance Enclosure with a solar titan and smol hammers is insane this season. Especially since all melees are considered powered if you have roaring flames. Every melee hit kills everything around you - or around the enemy you hit with a smol hammer. Just saying. It's absolutely one of the best Titan exotics in the game now. Almost no build required, but grenade regem mods and such, solar weapon surge - solar titan doesn't really need melee recharge mods, but certainly the mods that benefit from melee kills need to be in there. Combo with something like a primary with incandescent, Witherhoard, a good rocket launcher. All the solar benefits, like restoration and all the solar mods in the artifact. A juggernaut.

So this is pretty close to what I'd call my favorite build in the game. Severance Enclosure on Void Titan has been my crack since Lightfall dropped the new fragments for void. Having spent a large amount of time running this loadout, here are some weapon suggestions:
Weapons with guard functionality are a good utility with this build (glaives, swords, and transmutation spheres, more on that later). Guarding will at times not break invisibility so it gives you both an option to safely approach a weak target and adds some extra protection from stray aoes and such while invisible.
Void Titan is good with Vexcal and Edge of Action, both of which let you have guard functionality while playing close to your subclass. Vexcal's spread shot is also very good for weakening targets to finisher hp with a moderate amount of precision.
Heartshadow is ok but I feel the ammo into invisibility is a sunk cost on a build that has pretty good invis uptime already.
The other thing this build succeeds with is any weapon that you can reliably bring an enemy into finisher range with. Too much damage and you'll have to be very deliberate with starting your finisher chains. Weapons with explosive payloads do pretty well here as you have a lot of control over how much damage you're dealing. Autos, smgs and traces can succeed here too although you must be more careful not to kill things. In this way, Monte Carlo and Ruinous Effigy will fit very well with this build if you can master tapping the trigger with them.
Monte of course lets you have much more power melee uptime, for more range on explosions via shield throw.
Ruinous Effigy's life drain aura on guard can be used to weaken enemies without breaking invis, allowing you to chain finishers easily and providing you with a swiss army knife of methods to tackle an encounter with.

Not an exotic but truthteller with blinding and autoloading holster / disruption would fit the build fairly well especially if you'd like to keep the rat king. Shoot one shot super quick to blind enemies and allow you to close the gap for the finisher much safer and if you're too far for that you can use the disruption break to secure a rat king kill much easier and go invis to get those finisher / melee kills.

For higher end content playing this style i would play double special with a blinding lingering dread to get in close safely when suppression nade is down, then a crafted repulsor brace ikelos for good sustained damage per shot plus overshield stacking. Lastly for the heavy i would play with two taled fox for the nice damage plus its ability to stun overloads at range for this season. All in all you have all 3 champs covered with volatile/hand cannon/and rockets at least for this season. Playstyle would be blind/suppress pack, go in with melee and chain finishers adding nades and rockets pre engage depending on pack hp/difficulty. I mean best weapon for this has got to be vexcalibur. You got the sheild to get in safely. Got some ranged shots to proc the surviving volatile enemies and the melee from a glaive should(?) proc severence so you have more ways to get the explosions of. And then you get a oversheild everytime you get a kill with vex.. gotta be hella good. And then also you can use slideshot blinding ignition code in kenetic slot. And for heavy i would go with a bequest with surrounded since you would prob pop a bubble on a tanky target or boss. Love the build, will perfect and play this so much!

The invisibility on this brings some great utility.
How I began using this exotic…. (Since Solar is Broken.) Tie this all up with the Artifact mod of course. Then use throwing hammer so u have constant powered melee up time. Then use roaring flames and Sol invictus.
With roaring flames stacking up, u can eventually 1-hit yellow bars quite easily with the Hammer. Getting a kill will proc a sunspot so u get restoration right away. That will also burn any targets around so they will also become finishable or dead.
Ember of Torches is a must, and Ember of Empyrean is a must. The next 2 u can do whatever u want. I would use benevolence and Resolve, because I like having a thermite grenade for more damage and sunspots.
That’s what I would use if going straight ability-centric build-wise.
    BUT WE LIKE BIG BOOOOMS.
So exotic of choice if we really wanna dig into that artifact would be:
    1.) Sunshot
    2.) Dragons Breath
    3.) Ticuus
    4.) Skyburners (Eh)
Then we would switch the last 2 fragments for Char and Eruption.
    Boom city baby.
Armor mods, Super off melee kills, Finisher overshield one, and maybe a solar syphon and surge.
Bit less on the survivability in higher tier so maybe getting some recuperation orbs in there too.
But man… set the world ablaze.

Monte Carlo (Melee Generation), Null Composure (Close Combat for Finishers/Void Burst) and Doomed Petitioner (Good damage, longer range, just like the gun :)). Void focused, but, great for energy siphon orbs, melees and with Offensive Bulwark/Devour, super fast grenade return. I find Controlled Demolition is not super necessary to still have good explosions for Severance Enclosure.

For weapons to pair with this build, I'm thinking Conditional Finality for chunk damage and CC on large targets with the stasis and even more explosions with the solar ignition. Energy slot would probably be anything with Repulsor Brace, but Word of Crota stands out due to the origin trait leading to, you guessed it, more explosions if you get a melee kill. For heavy, it obviously depends what activities you're running, but Cold Confort would synergize well since the goal of the build is to get finishers.

This build was really strong back in season 20 when we had void mods on the artifact. We also had an infinite melee/grenade build because of the way class item mods worked but they patched it. You used to be able to pair 1-2 finisher or explosive finisher with 2 empowered finishers and stacks on stacks Every finisher gave you back your full grenade or melee. I wish that wasn't patched.

My main idea (this is for an add clear or support approach) is quicksilver for more explosions or carlo for melees, undercurrent adept with adept big ones on voltshot demo for more grenades and more explosion chains and then to top it off chivalric fire with destabilising and repulsor. Due to it being a caster you also get ranged explosions, and coupling this with a wellspring disruption break harsh language instead of the undercurrent would cause even more void explosions, perfect for harmonic siphon and most importantly void breaches for reduced cooldowns. I lean more towards undercurrent personally based on adept modding and voltshot, however harsh language would have better synergy. Alternatively to chivalric you can run a void lmg such as commemoration, corrective measure, shattered cipher if you like 900s or retrofit escapade if you would like a dps option.
Another few ideas i thought would be fun are monte carlo & null comp like you suggested, Travellers chosen and a disruption break lethophobia (the idea behind this is it buffs travellers chosen damage for faster kills and is also a void weapon itself for volatile), Harsh language and chivalric fire, Ecliptic Distaff and Commemoration or Chivalric fire for more void explosions, Fighting lion in combination with a slide shot blinding ignition code, this could also pair with any of the void glaives including the recently buffed edge of action to create safety shields for teammates or in solo content, dead messenger with demo after the new crafting buffs, maybe even ruinous effigy for the orb slam to create more explosions (yet to test that).
The point is there is absolutely so much you can do with this build it's scary as the guns don't need to synergise around the build, they just add to it. Maybe when we get nova mortis back. Also buried bloodline for devour or leviathans breath. Tbh I would love to see you try out all of these on stream, but if you only have time for one the first idea at the top please
