Ideal for camping, swimming, shelling and fishing. Courtesy beach wheelchairs (based on availability) - please contact the Florida Dept. of State Parks 941-964-0375.

    This place is a hidden gem! We don’t have a boat so the ferry seems like a great family friendly option! âœŒđŸ»

      Awesome! Thank you for watching đŸ€© Sorry for my delayed response, next time you go make sure you arrive at the north end of the island and take the tram to where camping and beach access is. Then walk to the shore, turn left and keep walking about 1/4 mile to the first one that juts out. Keep walking south along the shore and you’ll see an estuary on the left which is from the water passing through just ahead of that 🎯 đŸ™ŒđŸ€©đŸ’™

      Not much to see in the water, reefs are a few mile off coast in SWFL. But the shelling is amazing! đŸ€©

    If you do camp at Cayo Costa , bring bug spray! No see-ums will kill you! Itched for days!

    • @EpicSaltyLife
      @EpicSaltyLife  Pƙed 2 lety

      You can take a ferry from Pine Island, you would fly into Fort Myers. The ferry takes about 40 minutes, normally with dolphins jumping the wake 💙 We did the full day trip so we explored the beach for about 4 hours before heading back. Enjoy, thank you for watching! đŸ€©
