  • Mexican street artist in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico. Pure talent. This guy has been doing this for 20 years and did a painting for my brother 10 years ago which he still has hanging in his room. Art by Idelfonso Guarneros.

    if you think.this is junk or easy, I'd like to see your version!

      A person doesn't need to be better than someone to be able to critique them. "Let's see you do better" is always a poor response.

      "let's see you do better" wasn't my response, I said, "I'd like to see your interpretation" and I would. Try to duplicate it, I'm sure you'll be quite surprised, good or bad either way. blessings.

      +kloppskalli Haha, this one was $20. If I tried hard enough I could have haggled for $15.

      ha ha.. just as I thought - but.. omg she pays like 200 euro for crap comparable to this, all from the same guy... god damned :( I need to call the guy and tell him what a big fakin scam he is

      I know it was your wife spending your money and all but art is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. If you wife loves it then he didn’t scam her

      +leo johnson I was in a crowded area on a small street, with a lens not made for filming. I was not expecting to film anything as I rarely do. Sorry you feel that way!

    • @copelandart
      @copelandart Před 8 lety +3

      No, the camera work itself wasn't bad, not too shaky.....my only problem was the glare that occasionally drowned out the painting.

    Very nice! But why put mexican, when u can use da word hispanic! Just saying!

    • @caraalisa
      @caraalisa  Před 9 lety +9

      Georgina Sanchez Because I am showing the specific origin of this art. It was painted in Mexico, by a Mexican artist. Hispanic is just a generic term that is too broad and does not stand out. If it was filmed in China the title would include Chinese, not Asian. Get where I am coming from? Not meant to be offensive, I am half Mexican myself.

    This is entertaining at best for 10 minutes, repetative techniques and scratching does not an Artist make.
    Street vendors do it for money, not for the sake of furthering their art skills. He does this day after day, hour after hour... just like a burger flipper... so he can and does produce identical pieces only.

    I'm sure that this artist is good at this by I'm not impressed with this painting. the palm trees sucked big time and the seagull's looked carbon copied. very amatuer painting.. Lame.
