Piece of Crap Brand New OTIS Hydraulic Elevator-CVS (Geary St)-San Francisco, CA

- [Recorded 8-6-19] This is a brand new elevator and it already runs and looks like crap. I can't understand how an elevator could become so bad so quickly, but it happened. The floor indicator is all messed up, the doors need some major TLC, and this thing plop levels at the bottom. The motor is nice but that's about the only nice thing about this elevator. Let me remind you all that it's not OTIS's fault that this thing sucks, it's the lack of good maintenance. However, if OTIS is the one maintaining this elevator....yea let's not get into that.

How the hell do you find a two story CVS.. that’s so rare here where I am. I’ve only filmed one two story Walgreens, that’s the closest thing. It was a crappy vector.. Nice video though, be safe! ;) (I do like those lights on the elevator’s ceiling)
What if the group responsible for entire maintenance is the building itself?
Washington State has also banned HydroFit MRLs. It’s annoying because they class it as a ‘fire hazard’. My school recently built a new wing and the elevator is an Otis Hydrofit (MR) with VR
CVS has an elevator that runs just like CVS. (Moving my Rxs to Cub Pharmacy was the best thing I ever did!)
Yeah oldest needs to come in and fix these issues. This is unacceptable for a brand new installation.
I'm just gonna say it, California code is stupid. It really is, the rest of the states in the US don't have these stupid restrictions. The thing that gets me the most is the MRL thing. Still has to have a machine room, that defeats the purpose of MRL as you said in the video.
Anyways it's not as crappy looking as KONE Ecodiscs. I've got an Ecodisc in my house building and everytime it downpours it's a disaster. Out of service for at least 2 days, maybe because it's a MRL or just for its build quality
Ohhhh CVS, why did you install this piece-of-junk that will have to be modernized in about 5-10 years down the road?

That’s damn disappointing!! I’ve seen an old Lexan run better than that!! They clearly don’t know how to maintain an elevator at all, and that pisses me off! My brand new school elevator is a Newer Series 2 and it runs perfectly. Very disappointing to see a building maintain a brand new elevator this terribly and not get a red flag
Oh, and HydroFit MR is a thing. Washington State has also banned HydroFit MRLs, that must be the MR variant

Wow that's not very good. LOL Hydrofits are not allowed. Just like in Washington! We have the same code where you can't have Hydrofit's. Idk why it's pretty pointless. Now i have to go to Oregon to ride a hydrofit. lol

In my personal opinion I think the person installing it did a crappy job, because of it being brand new they probably haven’t needed a maintenance guy come.
Looks like this thing runs like crap because it looks very sick and ill, and CVS ain't giving a cure for this thing, lol, and lets buy Pringles for 2/$3 on camera so we can do a snack review while we ride a sick OTIS. lol
