Gives me the vibe that they were trying to make the thing as cheap as possible.

4:59. For the base, you could use some tethers then stake it that way.

It’s made by Airflowz. They’re a competitior of Gemmy’s, but most of their designs encompass cheap fans. Personally I love mine, I got the sister model to this one which was an online exclusive where it has orange undershirt and purple blazer coat with a greener face. The reason the tether attachments are high is because it’s too heavy, so you need 3 up top to support its upper body. However, there are 4 lower hanging tethers around the pants as well. The base staking is the part I don’t like because it’s colossal relying on tether attachments not attached to a sturdy base. However, I love the look of the Frankenstein and the way its upper tethers are. However, the cheap fans and base ones are the cons because when I deflate mine each night the base stakes come loose from the loops.

I have seen somebody that had that giant inflatable and they used barbell weights to hold it in place on their driveway

I find Airflowz horrendous. I mean putting 2 cheap fans in a 20 footer is a REALLY dumb decision and I dont like that At Home is pairing with them now.

Can’t really stand without staking on the base loops and upper body control with tethers up top where it’s too heavy. Mine stands just fine when it’s inflated, however I wouldn’t recommend inflating it in high winds or thunderstorms.

You should take it back or you can buy parachute repair tape or sew it back up

It’s not necessarily a patent, it’s mostly for cost cutting and for differentiation from competitors. However, inflatables this tall need a base fan or an industrial pullout fan like the ones from Yardinflatables that are exclusive to their website, and ones from Hammacher Schlemmer.

This is not gemmy hence the bad design. Gemmy 20 ft inflatables come with a nice base fan and are much better quality I definitely recommend purchasing a gemmy Christmas 20 ft design from at home you'll definitely be much happier with it!
