I got to go to Triumph's show for free in Montreal (my hometown) in the summer of 2004 after he did this segment...my older brother (who used to be an underground rapper back then) actually opened for him, so I got to go for free. Triumph started the show by saying, "Pardonnez-moi, mes quebecois...I only thought that you could take a fucking joke!!!" 😏

Maxime Schmitt Thanks pal. In reality I've only learned the English little by little by watching tv. Especially with Jerry Seinfeld in the 90's. I still have a lot to learn.by the way this little silly "war" between Anglos and Francos would never happen if everybody would be bilangual. If people in Quebec city refuse to speak English that's fine!! They just don't know all what they're missing. That's all.

Or the extra money spent by regular citizens to learn french to get government jobs, at both the provincial and federal levels.

They're theoretically bilingual; English classes are mandatory from grade 1 an up. However, lot of the interviewees seemed pretty old, so maybe their education in English wasn't so consistent. Several of the people also seemed to be tourists from France. And this is Quebec City we're talking about; the people there don't have many opportunities to practice speaking English, and maybe they had a hard time understanding Triumph's accent. The situation would've been different closer to Montreal.

I am Québécois and this my house and if you don't like it ..well get da fuck out!
btw, I found it funny and still love Triumph although like most ignorant americans he mixes France's stereotypes (wine, beret) with Quebec's. And for all those like Jason Laughlin who don't like us, guess what? We don't like you either

Stay in Miami and enjoy the sun if you don't get shot somewhere in Dade County where guns are everywhere and shootings have become banal. I prefer Key West, it is much safer. But Montréal is terrific for the beautiful women. Please don't give Montréal and Québec a bad reputation by getting involved with bad guys from cartels.

Except First Nations peoples live on reservations in Quebec I am not speaking about Attawapikat. Your ability to selectively pick out only what you want to acknowledge is astounding, leading me to believe that you are either the right sort of person to be a politician or your simply ignorant. Though I wouldn't bet on the latter.
