No. Becz icloud backup is only 5gb free. You will have to buy more space before backing up

What if, I opted for an exchange option when bought a new iphone. Delivery guy would not wait for 45 mins to let me complete the data transfer. What is the option for this?
I have an iphone 6 and going to buy iphone XR or 11 soon with exchange option but confused with data transfer procedure.

Besides, I was not aware of iCloud backup earlier when I posted this question. It is quite easy to take backup of your old iPhone on icloud and restore it on new iPhone in few minutes.
Steps I followed:
Took backup of iPhone 6 on iCloud.....
Reset iPhone 6 completely on the day of the exchange.....
bought new iPhone XR with exchange of iPhone 6....
Restore the backup on iPhone XR from iCloud and everything was simple and great :)
I’m so confused, back up toh iCloud par rehta hai.. just turn it on
But u get it only for 5 gb if u want more u need to buy iCloud storage
