- In today's episode of Out of Ore, I thought it would be fun to finalize a build on a triple-stage washplant for my main base. This massive structure will allow me to put pretty much anything in it and refine it to the best output the game will allow me. About Out of Ore:
A casual heavy equipment experience that is a "Work in progress" and developed by a solo dev / equipment operator
You are sent out to the most northen base "Company Mining Corp" has,
and its up to you to prospect for ore, mine it and sell it to earn a profit.
Build roads, bridges and tunnels to connect the base to other bases
Take risk by getting big loans to buy equipment and tools
The building system allows you to build pretty much anything you want
or use the vehicles and equipment to demolish it.
All machines can be painted and outfitted with all kinds of lights and stuff
Entire world is terraformable so you can
knock down trees and move dirt all day long,
The machines and support both ISO and SAE controls
and the game supports both Joysticks and Wheels

He would not be laughing, he would rent out an entire comedy theatre, tell all his friends and go there and then laugh
Also.... your tip point won't spill if you use a big red hopper and either build a mud ramp upto it, or dig a hole and Bury it level with the floor... then use the cement slabs that are upright to build a wall around your opposite tipping side and nothing will spill at all
Spills are inevitable no matter ho careful you are. If you bury it and use the concrete floors, then cleaning up spills is as easy as bulldozing them into the hopper.
Came here to say the same thing. Bury a hopper in the ground, and you can just dump the dump truck right into it.
Boulders go through the walls, otherwise yeah.
I buried mine and just drive the truck over the top to unload it 🤣

I love how the trees just keep falling into the void whenever Drae approaches them
Lmao right!! He goes for a hike up the mountain and 30 percent of the trees instantly fall into the most sink holes I've ever seen in my life
In this game, the sorting drum just sorts out the worthless dirt. Dirt comes out the bottom, and everything else comes out the end. I just set up a couple extra conveyors to pile up the dirt somewhere out of the way.
Also, use the big red hopper to dump the loads into so it doesnt spill on the ground unless you really miss bad.
Yes, the hopper sorts out the dirt, except when it also sorts out ore. The trommel destroys a lot of the ore for some reason.

Could always use the big Hopper as a dump spot for your ores. I think the way it's supposed to work is you build a stockpile with the dump truck and then use a front end loader to load into the red hopper to feed the plant. That's what i'd assume the red hopper is for.

You could burry the red thing underneath the ground level to make it accessible for the truck :)
Blast a hole on the ground, put Big red hopper in the hole, build platform around hopper, dump dirt into the hopper
Oh and Drae to fix your little overflow problem with the dirt put one of the large Hoppers above that first conveyor
The dirt coming out the bottom of the sorting barrel is waste dirt, I ran a belt off the hill to the side and just dump it on the ground over next to the hill.
Using the red hopper to drop the bucket or truck into will reduce spilling

props to the dev for choosing such a genera. these types of games are very difficult to make and balance. just looking at this game makes me realize how good gold rush was that drae played long ago. This is a step above gold rush as its a open world game whereas gold rush was basically you placing machinery in correct spots and earning money. Its still good tho. Out of ore dev has a long way to go but this game could be a real gem.
Sure, it has potential. Currently very boring, though. I honestly can't imagine playing this in its current state

Maybe instead of having the dirt run through the system, have to turn pieces run it out and drop it above the sell area. Won't make you much but will remove the problem and be more thematically accurate. (Plus it may make it look that much better)
The sorting Drum is for getting rid of dirt from paydirt.

Jaw crusher turns blasted rock into crushed rock and cone crusher turns it into gravel.
Sorting drum turns Paydirt into dirt and ore, should be on it's own line.
Ore nodes should go directly to sell point.
So you need 2 different setups and the possibility to dump directly into the sell point for pure ore.

yeah, running pure node ore is not advised,
running paydirt and Blasted solid rock is into a plant that is sorter jaw cone.

If the dev is here, I think it may be an interesting idea to add different workflows for refining different ores, like gold has it's own workflow, gravel has it's own, and iron and copper, etc..
It'd add some more depth and goals for the player to achieve.
Yeah that is one of the future things, but i need to add ways to explain how shit works aswell 😄 still working on the dirt and gearbox before expanding the game

I'd imagine the dirt will take a fair amount of work. It's always the things that the player would least expect that takes the most work.

Dig a hole. Pop a hopper in it. Bring the transport conveyors up to ground level. Surround with concrete foundation. Boom Dump truck worthy drop zone
The big hopper should be the starting point for dumping.

I made 2 things that kinda make it easy for me !. when you go to the most right computer where you sell your veichels you ahve 2 options recover they spawn in base and drive you go in the viechle . And second is to dig a whole with the dozer and put the hopper inside and put steel floor on the edge so i can dump maaterial sooo fast.
drae ive been playing it for a bit and i just back the dumptruck straight up to the transport on the open end and dump dirt in that way

the large hopper is used to dump-loads in with the loader or dump truck

You really should look up a real Johnson 5500 cone crusher and a Johnson 1208 jawcrusher to get inspiration, we use these at my job in sweden, its a pretty big size diff in real than in the game😅great vids love watching this💪🏻keep it up!

Day 339 of asking Drae if he has played Outer Wilds and to play it if he hasn’t.
-use a large hopper to load the dirt. Don’t just dump on a conveyor bet
-sorter separates good dirt from bad. You’re separating them and then recombining them.
An idea for your dump truck drop off, build a platform with the large hopper below and back up and dump into the hopper.
You should dump your bucket into the large hopper like it's designed
Dear Drae, YOU NEED A ROAD! The reason all of your vehicles suck is because there is no road to your dig-site. The articulated dumper is the best! You just need a winding road to the dig-site down the mountain. have you ever seen a 6x6 dump truck drive up a 45 degree angle? NO! there needs to be a road, please build one with a dozer, buy an excavator with a smooth bucket, toothy bucket, and a drill, then buy the articulated dumper.

The sorting drum is probably used for sorting rocks from ore
Use draemite to make a hole and put a large hopper in said hole and dump your haul trucks right into the hopper and off you go

Drea, I seen if you use the building blocks it makes building easier to snap.
MAKE SURE YOU SAVE ALL THAT!! I agree you obviously need to figure out the best way to dump it with a dump truck.... but what's the best way to do it?? If you just back up all willy nilly you could hit it and therefore destroy your belt system.... which would be very very bad. Anyway keep up the good content it's fun to watch and once you get everything good you should start making the vids longer. Like an hour or so... very entertaining. And I'd love to see you get better with the controls of the dozer for grading areas out smooth for driving in and out of. Like that one hole by your shop that you've been digging into.

Ask Let'sGameItOut to place conveyors to every mining site so you do not have to back to the station.
Also, a system that lets you turn on and off the machines from a central point would be great too.
The hopper if for loading the material into instead of just dumping it straight on the conveyer

I work in the industry and you need to use the most carrier belts as possible
Are you able to dig down in your wash plant area? Idk cuz it's the starting zone, but I would just extent the belt you're unloading on, down one "pixel"(as you were using it) into the ground, to where you don't have to lift your bucket at all to dump your load.

What about building a road/platform around the far side of the red building so that vehicles can drive around safely and efficiently?
Why is it so hard to build from the start to end? Everybody starts at the end and thinks it's broken, there are so many games with transport systems and I never had a game where you could start at the finish-line. It requires a bit of planning instead of yolo, but that's part of the fun.
lets talk about how u can stack each crusher on top of eachother and it will still work

Whelp, start timer for Drae meltdown once an update happens, he loads in, and his entire washplant explodes. Not wishing it on you, buddy. I just know it's going to happen.
The sorting drum separates dirt and stones from a payload. I think you might get even more money, if you sell the dirt off a second conveyor not connected to the crusher etc. (because the rocks are then "pure"?)
You are ment to put paydirt in the sorting drum and it will sort the dirt from the ore

apparently if you use a hopper as the last piece (when you sell) of the system doubles the profit

I build a washplant similar to yours, sorting drum - jaw crusher - cone crusher. full rock truck with lithium through plant is worth around 90k and if I do not run it through plant I get 150k+... is it only mine that the washplant is broken ?
Is it possible to just put the stages on top of each other?

do you recommend playing out of ore or hydroneer?
Why don't you dig a hole in the ground at the beginning of your setup and put a hopper in the hole so you can just dump into it easily with having to lift the bucket so high and you can dump straight out of your truck
hat if you just let it overflow and not clean it up bc it would let you go up more so you would be able to dump it better

the one thing i confuse about this game is. why rock diging company build a main base of operation on top of the mountain that they are going to dig and sell it......... i mean you will literally dig off your own foundation...
so all the machines magically get power....

do a "glory hole" as they call it in the mining industry where you dig a hole in the ground and run your belt down there, then you can just use a dozer to shove it in
you should come back to the game it is so much better and mp will be coming out for soon ...
