Chair: Dr. KapilaVatsyayan Chairperson, IIC - International Research Division -- Keynote Address: Dasho Karma Ura President, Centre for Bhutan & GNH Studies
Its a wonderful and very impactful presentation by Dasho la. Yes, Guru Rinpoche blessing and teachings are timeless...... I'm so fascinated by the Terma ( mind termas and earth termas) and Tertön (reincarnation of his disciples).......continues to this day. His miraculous stories and legacy should be known worldwide. Om Ah Hung Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hung 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🪷☸️💎🌈
As a Tibetan, thank you 🙏 Dasho la for a well researched talk on the history of Guru Rinpoche’s travel on the Tibetan plateau and giving due respect to the great Tibetan empire that provided the seed, translation and flourishing of Buddha Dharma. Amazing to know that Tibetan writings from that period 1200 hundred years ago is still intelligible. These were corroborated by recent discovery of text in the Dunhuang caves. Pray for the flourishing of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as Tibet and Bhutan relationship. 🙏
As a Tibetan, I'm eternal grateful for our most precious Master, Guru Rinpoche..... for his dedication and hard work for bringing the buddhadharma to Tibet..... spent 55 and half years in Tibet.... gave enormous blessing to the land and its people. But in 18th century, some extremists sectarian Gelupa lamas and miniters along with chinese army, destroyed the Guru Rinpoches statue and all other school's monasteries .....This was the main reason why China took over Tibet..... What a shame and it disgusted me to the core....despite knowing he was the founder/ father of Tibetan Buddhism.
