I have a pair of Blackburn Anycages on my fork but those straps look soooo much better than the Blackburn included straps. bag cages, generally, are one of those ideas where I go, why weren't these around when I was a kid in the late 70s early 80s, first discovering the freedom of camping in random paddocks in northern Tasmania?! Absolutely brilliant idea. I run conventional rolltop bags on a rear rack and nautical rolltop dry bags on my fork and handlebar. I can still pack a ton of stuff, even with a 540Wh battery for my TDR Moto front wheel electric conversion kit. Will defs be checking out some MyFixPlus straps on my rig! Cheap Velcro works but jeez it's easy to tangle when strapping stuff down!
Had a heart attack a few years ago, and need a little boost to get back to longer range riding. Stressing about where to recharge in rural Australia, but have a winter to train through before I start to explore a few days away, and should be able to research and contact the places I might be able to use to recharge overnight. Caravan parks in Australia tend to be brevet distances apart and I reckon my daily range will still be limited to 80km/50miles, even though my battery looks like it's close to 100km on mostly level going.
For the electric skeptics, I'm rarely in a boost of 2 out of 5 (250w, 40Nm motor), except on really steep hills. I still feel like I've had exercise from the sort of training rides I did without power before my heart attack, but I don't get the heart strain that was laying me low for days after a 20km spin. e-Bikes are still a workout provided you use e-assist (no power unless pedalling) rather than a throttle, and mostly use the lower levels of boost.

Cages are great. I have found the rack straps don't stretch in cold weather -0 C. You can mount a rack anywhere on your bike by, using hose clamps with no need for eyelets. To mount a pack on the top of my rear rack I use two synthetic trouser belts with tighteners. They don't stretch or break. Why not carry a large light weight pot or plastic sink basin? Many uses in camp or gear that needs protection on the road. I have been doing it for years, but not on every trip. Love the large and small cages. Now I can easily carry a 1.5 liter water bottle inside the triangle. A good tie down straps I discovered by accident for holding water bottles or anything in a cage are straps 75cm long 5 cm wide with Velcro on one side with a rectangle ring at one end. The back side has 5 cm long strip with Velcro hooks at the opposite end. I find them more useful than the rubber, hook straps and very secure. A 75 cm strap double wraps a one liter water bottle .
( My Velcro straps are from the Knee high restrictive movement boots I wore after my two Severed Achillies tendon operations. I assume you may be able to buy just the strap at a medical supply store.)

Cargo gages and dry bags are the most affordable way to attach things to your bike! I thought they were Tailfin, extremely similar and expensive as well (have a pair) but at the end good quality product that is reliable and last is a way of saving not to mention the piece of mind on the road. Cheers

How do you actually drink water on the bike pictured in the video? It looks like you’d probably have to stop and unstrap the bottles behind the fork. So, they’d be great for carrying extra water when there’s none accessible on your route, but where is your quickly accessible water?
I’ve been missing out on long trips for too long (decades!) since I got carbon and aluminum racing bikes and need to just do it as you say in your first video. Like I did originally when I started biking. But I worry about everything. I see people using the behind the seat long bags for overnight trips, but I also see them moving around a lot, which looks annoying for a long ride.
I recently tried using a small top tube bag a family member gave me again (used it before and forgot which I didn’t like it), but unless I’m really careful my knees will hit it or road roughness shake it and it’ll get loose and tip over (the phone is at the top, so it’s already top-heavy). I’m wondering if the ones you use are narrower and what you keep in them. Trying to save my jersey pockets from getting stretched out.
But my main question is about water access.

All my bottles are used for carrying water over longer distances or for the night when I find a campsite. The only bottle I drink from regularly is the one in my snack pack, which holds 1 liter. When it needs a refill, I have to stop.
