Yup. Ryan basically would've had to lose 3 pounds of muscle not fat..... and he's a boxer so the muscle loss would've had to come from the upper body which would mean he would fall flat on energy about 3-6 rounds in.

Ryan and Devin AGREED that who ever came in over weight had to pay $500K per pound over the 140lb limit. ( Ryan wasnt penalized monetarially by any boxing governing body - VLAD THERE IS A VIDEO OF THIS VERBAL AGREEMENT ONLINE) 2nd.. The fight continued after the over-weight discovery under the condition that Devin's title was NOT on the line, which it originally was. That's how the fight was able to continue, which is a boxing rule; which is why there was so much angst from the Haney camp after the loss becuase per boxing rules, Devin's title would be Vacated as he lost.

@@eastendboss6209 you can go to boxing forum or the fight card. I was wrong. Haney was 4 lbs heavier day of the fight (Haney- 165, Garcia-161). The weight didn't make a difference in that fight. The height and reach made the difference. Haney likes to punch over the top. Garcia is an inch taller than him. Their reach is pretty much equal. I think Haney might have like an inch on that. But Haney fights like that. Haney throws jabs and slips to his right. Against opponents who are shorter and give up reach, it's fine. But against a taller fighter, it leaves him open...
