Every July, without fail, I start playing this amazing song for a month straight. It's like Holiday music.

I just returned my 5 year old son to his mother in AZ. But I picked up my boy on July 1st. for two weeks and this was his favorite song. The song is bitter sweet for me, but Im glad I played it for him.

This song expresses how fun things pass so quickly, but yet we shouldn't dwell on the negative aspects of situations. I think that's what this song is really about. About having fun and taking it in and enjoying what you have to the full extent without worrying about when it will or could end. There are many great/fun things in life that are just waiting to be discovered. Just because the "sun sets" doesn't mean it wont ever rise again.

July 31, 2022 and I almost forgot to play this song this summer. 311 just heal your hurts in a way no other music can. They've definitely got lightning in a bottle and it's still pouring out after over 30 years!
There just isn't any band out there that can compare to 311. I just looooooooove these guys. Completely awesome live, their stuff just continues to amaze me record after record. This is one of my favs!

I loved this album and song so much when it released… i was dancing and having the time of my life.. it was getting me high… my time was flying by… but it only hit me for the emotions I had felt that to that point. … mostly

Own and watching him grow and dance and enjoy all life’s experiences… the lyrics hit me like a truck.

311 was my personal soundtrack on my mail route when I was living and working in Orlando, Florida, in 2018. The sunrises, the sunsets, the lakes, the palm trees. Just the scenes, man. Well, anyway, I left that job, and that city for what I thought was a better opportunity back home in New York. Five years later, I regret it every single day. Every once in a while, I put this song on and try to meditate myself back into that place and time.

They write so many songs for us. From the start way back on Music forwards they've focused on stuff that works live and lyrics either thanking us the fans or that can turn a crowd into a community. I'm sure they've done alright financially but I'm glad they've nearly always stayed right under the line that separates the mainstream from the underground. Sure there was Down, a song literally thanking the fans that'd been there the whole time, but they were never a household name and I think that's perfect for them, and us. I've been to sixteen shows and you're never gonna see people who stick around for a single song then leave or stand around waiting for that song. We're all plugged into everything they play every show. We're all getting up there and it blows that one day this will be over but man the ride was great. We're not dead yet though. We've still got a few years of rocking out left.
