"Deus Ex Human Revolution in less than half an hour - just how did you do it?!"
- "Ancient Chinese Secret!"
+MioRaem dude I see your comments below every DX Mankind Divided trailer ive seen! Cheers!
Tomek Marchowiecki
I'm a fan, what can I say?
Good for you! I am a fan too! Human revolution was so good it's like a next level of gaming. Absolutely one of my favourite games ever.
My husband, some hotshot. Here his "Ancient Chinese Secret": new and improved collision detection.
Why does it feel like you got that line from true crime streets of l.a.? 😂
"I shoot that guy when I enter otherwise he'll start a conversation with me"
This is relatable.
If I ever make a game that's speedrunnable, I'm going to deliberately include a Yiddish dub that's significantly faster than the rest of the languages to force speedrunners to listen to as much Yiddish as humanly possible.
Changing the type of language to shave off time. The insanity of speedrunners to consider every possibility to take advantage of, is beyond impressive.
Yeah I was legit surprised, I wouldn't have thought of that
Strider-Ragnarok That is actually really common. for example, most old Nintendo games are run on the Japanese or Chinese edition, because those languages use fewer characters and therefore make the text boxes scroll quicker.
@@anqied not just Nintendo but just most older games as they can only render one character per frame
The Barrett part actually made me laugh :D
...and that was Barrett.
Kaboom, done.
And then they say that HR had shit, one-approach-only bosses! %)
really xD
TheUnchainedMind What a rotten way to die.
I appreciate you actually explaining what you're doing - ever since speedarchivedemo stopped adding new speedruns, like half the speedruns around have absolutely no explanations attached.
The explanation was amazing. Watching is one thing, but watching while hearing what your motivations for your actions were really opens up the game for my next play-through. I thought that I knew how to play this game!
Lol. And that was Barret 16:25
Holy sh... After playing three times, never ever knew the entrance at 1:14.
same here :/
Same. :P I also didn't know about the "upper" entrance to Panchaea. I always take the hole in the ground. Something new every day!
Same, was completely` shocked
I felt compelled to write this comment. I don't usually watch speedruns till the end but I loved your commentary and you giving credit to everyone who helped you, can't really find runners like you anymore. Keep it up ferret.
1:10 whaat? I never knew there was a vent there
+SinineSiil I know right, amazing, even four years after the release I still learn new things about the game.
Sini same
Alley-ooping boxes and fire extinguishers to WR. Absolutely fantastic XD
16:20 Adam Jensen, Time Lord. "Barrett, You're already dead."
Barrett: "NANI?"
39mins huh? Took me 39hours to complete the game! LOL
41 hours on gimme a story :P
+Debadutta Padhial How do u guys know how long u took? does it show after u beat the game? cause u can't look up stats while playing, which i find kinda disappointing for a game like this
Steam....
oh how obvious. lol
i'm on ps3, didnt think that far, thanx
LOL THATS SO FUNNY ITS ALMOST LIKE YOU WERE TAKING YOUR TIME AND HE WASN'T LOL IT MAKES NO SENSE
Deus Ex: Mirrors Edge edition.
I Highly appreciate your commentary here.
I love watching speedruns, but it can be hard to follow every little glitch or work-around with everything going so fast. So Kudos duder!
"annnnnnnd that was barrett"fucking awesome hahaha. very nice run man!
Okay, the fact that you can actually fry the last boss with the laser gun just blew my mind, I'd never expect something like that from the devs.
You basically just did 100 let's play videos in 40 minutes...wow
+morganstedman㎳ Let's play pepol do side quests tho :(
or 400 gamegrumps episodes
Thanks for narrating this! Very informative and entertaining.
"and uhh that was beret" *massive explosion* Omg i laughed so hard at that part.
14:12 That's some Mythbuster shit right there.
Post Commentary is really an awesome idea. Really like it.
Great job :)
This video alone has made me fall in love with the concept of speed-running. Your commentary is just icing on the cake.
Excellent video, not enough speed runners take the time to explain what they're doing like you have here which I appreciate.
Speedrunners are like the ultimate introverts. They'll just shoot anyone who tries to start a conversation 😆
This is one short game!
Nice commentary and run.
+AKheon Well he does skip like 75% of the main content and even more of the side content
I played it in around 15 hours so it really depends how much you want to commit to it.
It took me 30 hours first playthrough. Definitely not short.
+AKheon Well he used exploits and ignore everything thats possible :D. if u play normaly will take u around 15
With doing and examining everything, it will take me 70 hours for sure. So you were quite fast yourself.
Imagine someone speedrunning through a police building like that.
I finished 1 mission with flawless stealth at the time it took for you to finish the game
17:12 what a rotten way to die
what a shame
Lip smack
He was a good man
Great run! I really like your commentary - it's so nice to understand what you are doing and why :)
.... and you only started speed running how long ago?
Congrats.
+Kale Serpent Only this game 3 weeks ago
17:12 "So I shoot him in the head, grab his grenades" I think that's the most nonchalant way that could be said
Great run, Ferret! :D And great commentary as always - congrats
You know what, you should make a segmented speedrun of this and negate the inconsistencies and produce the perfect speedrun.
There needs to be a save Faridah%, watching you leave without saving her makes me very sad.
Great work, I love following Heinki and PenAgain. Glad to see another informative speedrunner crushing this game. Keep it up!
Boxwrangler, that's a title for your achievements collection
EDIT: Laughed so hard when you 'battled' Barrett and got the 'smooth operator'
Man your so freakin good at games its unreal, love the commentary.
I'm starting to think that you have some kind of superpower or something, you can't just destroy games like that! Great job Ferret!!!
GAMING GOD STRIKES AGAIN
Dismantling the illuminati in less than an hour, probs for that.
Amazing job and a great listen too! Congrats dude!
Took me 26~ hours. This is an amazing job, well done.
Nicely done! congratulations man!
your voice is so nice to listen to
i love how he explains what hes doing, so many speedrunners just ignore us viewers
Just finished it for the first time in 17 hours, didn't bother with many side quests. This totally blew me away.
well played and awesome commentary
Damn nice video, I liked how you explained everything. Really nice.
I didn't even think to look for air ducts in the intro!
That was a killer run, awesome job:O ! I wonder how different it would be segmented :)
37:27
Namir: ...ok that's it, I am killing myself.
'ive been running for 3 weeks btw heres my wr' thats impressive.
hahahaha f*ckn barret was such a pain in the ass nonlethal mode.
Literally augmented IRL.
the way you shot sanders is hilarious lol
That vent in the prologue... I've played this several times and I never knew that existed!
Very good video! I really enjoy you talking through it all, very interesting, newly subbed
24:31 "ghost", "smooth operator", sure... :D
You have your own Companion Cube around 16:00!
The Barrett boss fight was enjoyable and I do like the gameplay but I don't really think it can be considered a speedrun if you glitch through the game instead of natural progression with best times. Might just be me
thats a category i think. any% glitchless
how quickly choices are made, and button pressing happens very fast.
His voice is so similar to daily dose of Internet's lol
10/10 thumbnail
Super Mario meets human revolution
WR in 3 weeks. Literally Gaming god.
Nice run tho ^_^ gonna have to train more often so i can catch up.
Also thanks for letting people know about my OMEGA setup. check out my channel if you have trouble there.
I made a video about it. Please remember OMEGA clip is stupid at high framerates if you cant get it at all check if your framerate is limited correctly.
+DJFPaul i do dxhr runs too :DD
Do you not run faster if you press w combined with a or d?
Oh wow. More commentary, yay!
0:47 4:22 How did you do that? I've been trying it all day, but I failed...
What button should me press after turn against the wall? Jump? crouch?
I think the elevator is a nod to the one in Metal Gear Solid.
Sonofabitch...
Congrats, man!
You can actually save malik.
Although would take too long for a speedrun.
Do you mean as in take out all the enemy's?
Yeah.
+James Atkins You get an achievement for it as well.
Griffin Kneesock Cool, and does Malik have a differant response or does she say nothing.
Yeah there are a few lines of dialogue now and she shows up once later.
Really enjoyed the commentary
I *LOVE* commentary ova speed runs
I watch speedruns so I can relive the moments.
I'm not sure if this means anything now, but I made it through the funicular door in one motion with a box
Wait. 35:12 I cant open the door after the conversation with Tong. Can someone tell me why?
Please dont tell me its because I play the Directors Cut and the Mission "Finding Tongs son" does not exist in your speedrun D:
Yup, I'm guessing that's it.
Jank1 Damn :/ Thank you for answering
Nice to see Tina Belcher doing speed-runs.
Lol
Awesome video!
I'm only 11 and I completed the game in a day but I was 10
I was one of those people who fell for the biochip swap
Laser tru glass.. wow never imagined lol
Hey man I was watching ur video to try and speed run it to get better and u where talking about the old lady skip and I have actually done it
I didn't even know you could speedrun it
French, the fastest language in the video game world because it's just gibberish.
Are these glitches patched in the Director's Cut? Build 2.0.0.0?
Is this the original release of the Director's cut version?
OMG! nobel prize now! congrats man! :) good job indeed!
how come you get the ghost and smooth operator after the enemies become hostile
the day I realize I've been playing Deus Ex HR wrong...
omg, i just realized that the first padlock you have to hack has the code: 1337
I need to get back into this game Back when we didn't have our fancy box cliping well... we did mainly in china tho xD and I sucked at box jumping -.-
Holy Shit man!!! How the fuck did you figure out to do all that? That was incredible dude!
5:05.... really..... REALLY EIDOS????? REALLY????
slow down !! I can't even keep up watching :O .. nice video haha
VIctory achieved
insane dude!
World record 3 weeks in. What the hell.
The first section in detrote can take me upwards of an hour and when your in china several your good mate
You finished the game in 30 minutes.
I finished it in 30 hours...
Why is the game in French? (edit) because dialogues are shorter, got it.
