  • Forget the hassle of digging and setting a 4x4 post into the ground. Here is the EASIEST way to setup a mailbox post to accommodate any standard mailbox. Its American made and designed to last. It uses a based weighted with sand for stability and is height adjustable to accommodate curbs or other uneven surfaces. I could be incorporated into landscaping or have rock/mulch around it to further hide the base if desired. Simplay3 owns American Home who produces this mailbox. They sent this product to me for the unbiased review.

Tonight I went to Lowe's and bought a mailbox a bag of cement and a bag of sand plus various other items. Then I watched this video and am taking it all back tomorrow except for the sand since I went ahead and ordered this instead.

    Nice video. 🙂
…and that was cool of Simplay3 to include the funnel for the sand. 😎

DRY DRY sand is the key. I bought "playbox" sand(stored inside) and it was not dry, Very laborious process getting about 35 lbs into each side of the base

A piece of someone's siding wrapped around the mailbox at 150mph. No way it was going to make it.
There were a bunch of people that lost their mailboxes and .... .
      I am alive.
BTW - I wish T-mobile had 5G service at our place there. I couldn't receive\make phone calls for quite a while.

Hmm... this may be a solution. I share a post for the mailbox with the neighbor across the road. The milk can it is set in is starting to show its age. I'm thinking with a little extra weight applied to the base it will support to mailboxes. Thanks for the review.😀

Just one more thing to put back in place after Hurricane Ian. Would be interesting to see where it would end up after the 70-80 mile a hour wind that we had here.

People in my area get so tired of the plows knocking down their mailboxes that they put a post in a 5 gallon container and fill with gravel/concrete. Kind of the same principle..

    Are the screws stainless steel?

concrete might be a good option instead of sand.

It could be for sure. Also I think if you just pour water in after the sand it will weigh the same as concrete.
