Is this thing still running? Its a 2 stroke not 4 so if your not mixing it it wont last long..lol Stihl has had carb issues for awhile now, mainly hot starts. Husqvarnas RedMax engine is the way to go. Their 525LST is 10.6lbs 1.3hp, high torque gearhead. Starts hot/cold in 1-3 pulls constantly. My last 2 Husqvarna trimmers have been going 13yrs with no issue's. Husky makes outstanding trimmers...
Definitely not the best commercial lightweight trimmer. Husqvarna's are the best(not the cheaper ones the commercial). You obviously had a homeowner...
I work for a landscape company that has been using Stihl 94 series engines for years. Whether its the FS94 or KM94R. I think they are absolutely terrible. They look great when you get them out of the shop. Nice and shiny orange. After even a short time of commercial use they develop issues very quickly and then usually fail catastrophically within 2 years. At this point they become scrap They are a poorly built, poorly balanced machine made in China from cheap quality components. Once you use a well built Japanese machine like a Shindaiwa for example you will realise how bad they are
Why do people pronounce stihl “still”? It’s pronounced “ Steal” or “Steel”. And I never owned one but man a lot of people Mispronounce poulan too they call it “ pool in” when it’s pronounced “ pull in”
I think the 94R is a 2 stroke engine not 4 like the 91R
This is NOT a 4-mix like a 91 r, 111 r, or 131r. It’s just a plain Jane 2 stroke

Great Whacker for 5 acres. The HUSQVARNA Commercial Whackers are Great. The cheap bent necks are for 2 or 3 time use a year.

This is 2 stroke but he was talking about the Stihl 4mix engines that are 4 stroke but require fuel to be mixed still.

It’s a 2 stroke, the 91r is a 2 stroke also with valves: 4 mix
The 91r is a hybrid 4 mix without a oil slump, compression, exhaust,oil,gas but run off mixed gas as a 2 cycle
The 4mix engines are not 2 strokes they are 4 stroke engines with no lubrication system requiring fuel to be mixed like a traditional 2 stroke engine
