Since moving to Egypt I now understand what Hallu means.And I understand that anything I've eaten most likely in the u.S was not. We eat esh which is A glutton free bread. Maybe some boiled eggs or cooked fava beans paste and eggplant... Ramadan is the most beautiful month since everyone is fasting. The unity of an entire culture having this is quite beautiful

I always found it so disgusting when people ate meat in excess. You don't need it more than once a week. It will not kill you. These people act like we don't have to rear and then kill so many animals in inhumane conditions to keep up the demand for this unnaturally high meat intake. What's the point in fasting Ramadan at all if you can't practise that same discipline at any other point in the year?

How do we get enough protein? I’ve been vegetarian for 10 years and I’m struggling to get protein and enough calories.
Eggs, legumes, tofu etc. For me, i throw in some good, lean fish, and throw in some amino acid supplements on days where i feel i didnt get enough. but the first three should certainly help. Also get some b complex supplements too, we miss out on that when we rarely eat beef.
I was vegetarian for about 3 years for ethical and spiritual reasons. I returned to eating meat, but only halal meat since it is purer. As a vegetarian I got most of my protein from eggs and beans, specifically kidney beans and chickpeas. I was a falafel connoisseur for a while and it did fine in replacement of my cravings for meat. Though it was significantly easier to get my protein when I started eating meat again. Allah swt in the Quran specifically says that it’s okay to eat halal meat, so I stopped restricting myself unnecessarily.

Crazy how I learned about eating 1 meal a day from a guy who people called fringe or extreme almost 10 years ago. Now I find out that it’s how all the Prophet’s ate. 1 meal a day sounds extreme, but it ensures you’re extremely hungry and every meal tastes incredible no matter what it is.

Once a week? I eat at least one meal a day with meat bought from the butchers. It's healthy. I eat twice a day and can't eat more than that, as im use to it now. Yet the two meals are large.
@Mr-Safology , I am just interested to follow your eating plan , but how is your Physique? With 2 large meals?
@@abertoneynstein4265 I'm a slim build with abs. My weight varies, I put a little on, I lose a little. I'm 5ft6 so I don't use heavy weights, rather follow a HIIT with dumbbells. That's it. First meal is a breakfast, usually eggs, hash browns/ mushrooms on rye bread (I can't digest white bread). Topped with seeds. Green tea, 3 dates and a piece of fruit to finish my breakfast. Then for dinner, it's either chicken/lamb/fish with rice and salad or veggies. Then some fruit or a sweet dish (small amount).

These 6 weeks old chickens are not halaal, let's face it. The way they are treated is horrible. 😢 They get hatched and then sent on a production line, they dont get to experience the warmth of their mother, they are fed day and night and dont get rest. They are given hormones to grow faster. The whole process is just wrong.
