    $2000 cad/month for 2 people .... that is crazy. My mortgage alone here in Montreal is $2k and I haven't even eaten yet.... I'm def checking out Thailand within the next few years. Thank you for this helpful video!

      Yup! People think you need to be rich to travel, not always the case. A long visit to Thailand is always helpful! ..... it's not for everyone.... but definitely has many great things! Thanks for your feedback!

We are living in Mexico now but we are planning to move to Pattaya in September or October of this year, we know is rainy season but the reason we go in October is because is low season so we can find a place more cheaper. And we will going with our pet an old cat, so we would love to see more condos or places pet friendly please. Thank you

      safety in Thailand is incredible, living in central bangkok and can go out anytime night and day and buy food and find open shops...
      Worst things that can happen tou is pickpockets the traffic and uneven sidewalks(have common sense about money and valuables ,dont drive in thailand and watch where u step) .
      Violence or real robberys against a foreigner is so rare that it makes national news when it happens and thailand has +71 million ppl

    I spend 900 euro's in 30 days., and I lived like a king. if you do things local. lush breakfast 2 euro (coffee,fresh coconut, thai omlet and rice with thai chilie/basil and chicken) just an example

    • @modulator1

      incl weed (still legal?),. so food, weed, and plenty of liquids,. 900 euro

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah, budgets can be as low or as high as you want in Thailand, that's what's great about it. 900 Euro is 1327CAD.... so for one person that's a health budget for Thailand, you should live like a king 👍

    Super helpful vlog, thanks for posting. I've been researching condo's for a while and like the look of La Santir, my only concern is that is it a bit too remote from the main area of Jomtien? How did you guys find it in terms of location?

    • @wattstraveling

      Hi there! Honestly you could walk to beach road in less than 15 minutes.
      We always have a scooter when we come to Thailand, but like things to be in walking distance too. It's easy to catch the baht bus on beach road.... but there are LOTS of places (more expensive) on beach road too. Thank you for watching and for giving us feedback, I'm glad you found it helpful! 👍

    Do you have a video explaining long term expat tax issues with Canada's CRA? l'm told you need to have 'deemed'' to sell everything. I'm thinking only leaving Canada for Thailand for just 6 months at a time to retain health plan with Ontario; keep filing taxes as normal with CRA; stay away from Canada winter 6 months and away from Thailand hot and rainy 6 months season.

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  Před 3 měsíci

      No we don't have a video on it, sorry. But lots of people "snowbird" to other countries to escape the Canadian winters.... sounds like a good plan!
      As long as you are in Canada for 6 months I don't believe you have to deem anything.... being in Canada will maintain health care and paying taxes as normal..... but I'm not a tax expert. 😉
