This BMW 1 series was alphamized with an android screen fitted from scratch. As shown in the video it did not have a space for the screen to be fitted so we had to make space for it hence why the glasses and the tools.
This modification can be done on any BMW and it can also be done on othervehicles too.

Where did you route the USB connector from the head unit? On my 2013 E88 there’s nowhere for the cable to be accessed?

@grund47 think you might have a different screen to the one we sell but I think it's to do with the wiring or the screen you have doesn't support it to be shut off with ignition
Love it, well done! Could you please help me with an advice? I'm from Slovakia and I've got the same hardware installed and Apple CarPlay works really nice - music, maps, phonecalls. The problem is the sound quality which is just horrible compared to the sound quality from the radio or from the USB pen drive. The sound from the Android screen is connected to AUX via the cable and in the shop that installed it they said that's the correct way. I wonder if there is other way to connect the sound from the Android screen? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Hi mate, the audio from the android screen are usually good and they are better than the standard unit. I would suggest checking the connect for the aux as if its not connected properly it will cause the sound quality to be low quality. Another thing is standard BMW speakers are not the best so maybe changing the speakers to higher quality is another option. However since I'm not with the car I'm unable to diagnose this fully, but these will be the two things i would suggest mate.

Do the steering wheel controls still work and do you get the multi-media adjuster control next to the gear stick?

Can u mod the screen logo at all? so when u turn the car on it has a bmw sign? cost as well please? Also what iff you have a cubby hole where you cut. like a glove box? does it work with Samsung?

Yes mate just take your time cutting the dash if you are cutting it and an air duster can will be useful to get ride of an excess if you are cutting the dash.

yes that's correct, they don't make it for the rhd vehicles unfortunately so its controlled via touch screen.
Bro do you think it’s possible to have 2 screens in one of these cars? I’ve currently got a 9inch android screen where the standard radio usually is I’ve still got the auto ac unit underneath that screen, But I also want to put a screen exactly where you fitted this one ontop, would it be possible to have the 2? Or would it cause any problems?

Do you need to run a cable to the aux port with this mod?
Not unless you arr using aux, however you need the aux option in order to get audio from the unit.
Did u have to an aux cable from the harness to the jack under the arm rest I don't get audio unless I do
Yes you need to put it in the aux mode for audio to come out but didn't need an aux cable in though.

It's to big for the car . obstructive I would have gone for a smaller one .
It doesn't obstruct the driving view since its in the middle but I guess everyone's preference is different :)
Does the heated seats and stuff still work on the car?
yes the seats will work after changing the screen.
Hi mate installed one of these myself into an e87 but for some reason I have managed to mess up the air conditioning/climate control. Max flow of air is hardly anything now and the vents barely allow air through. Before doing this mod airflow was really good. Been quite bad for me especially in this cold weather to warm up the cabin. No air really comes out anymore.
Any ideas?
When I had a look behind the main vent the flaps are closed preventing air through
Maybe the bit which opens and closes the vents are locked in a position. Have you tried scrolling the middle bit of the vents?
