What is the catch siding and slip siding in Indian railway?

All the things incorporated in Indian Railways always connected with passengers safety. In Indian Railways passengers, safety is first and foremost all above.
These two sidings are also used for the purpose of safety of trains and it's passengers.
The railway line is not always placed on the plain section. It also covers the gradient sections. These two sidings are commonly used at those sections.
Slip Siding:- When station section at the above level of block section, a small portion of railway track use as this sidings.
The maximum length of these sidings is three or four coaches of can accumulate in these sidings.
If any coach or coaches roll down from station then those coaches took into that section. So that coaches can't get into the block section and any future accident averted.
The length of this section it so that it can accumulate three or four coaches of any train running on that section.
Catch Sidings:- When block section at an above level of station section, these sidings use as safety.
If by any chance train can't stop at block section and rushing towards station then these sidings use to catch the whole train with a sand hump.
Its length makes so that it can accumulate the whole of longest-running train big that section.
Both the sections are connected with block instrument. So that it should be used for shunting or another normal purpose.
