- After several months of Porsche 996 Carrera ownership, I've decided I've a pretty good gauge for how it should handle. However, looking through the 911 classifieds, I found a 996 Carrera with a difference: a road legal race car!
How different is a Porsche 996 race car to my Carrera? I decided to find out by visiting Paragon Porsche, who allowed me to take the race car for a spin… on the public road!

Great video well structured and informative, really interested in upgrading from my 987 Boxster S to a 996. Would like to get into a C4S think they look fantastic and have that Turbo body. What a treat Lee, do you know the spec of the exhaust on that car? Presume racing headers, but is it a factory system???? I have a 98 3.4 manual, and would love a similar system.

My next video will provide an update on the car (lots of progress!) but I've written about the 996 every month in Total 911 magazine to keep people fully up to date in the meantime.

What are the parts (part numbers) Mark talked about to prevent oil starvation. I want to track my 996 but have heard too many horror stories about oil starvation in longer turns.

How are these builds able to be road driven without an engine fan? I’d love to ditch my engine fan
