Great work Bro Sweet truck! Can't wait to see the C10 swapped
Dude the lahey cut! 🤙🏼
Some lt headers and a rear gear and that truck would be spot on!
Great Content!
14 crew cab 6’6 bed i made 360 on e85 same cam just 32% fuel but im catless k&n cold air and muffler.just got my headers and x pipe so thats next
Sun headers & k&n , stall , and e85 should b big gains
Did you lower it some? If so, how much in the front/rear and what components did you use?
You upgrade to ported l86 intake? From Gwatney performance, ported heads?
Yessir🔥
Nice how much did this all cost including the tune
I want that chop.
I figured a cam would produce more power than that. I have the same truck, but ive swapped manifolds/throttle body from a l86 on it, CAI, and have speed engineering longtubes going to a X pipe, no cats. Havent tuned it yet, but i was hoping to produce around the same numbers with what ive done without a cam once its tuned. Im going to swap a l86 6.2 in it soon when i get another car.
We dyno a 2015 double cab with a 5.3 and it made 344 hp on stock manifolds no ported intake or tb stock everything only had a stage 4 TSP cam
I was wondering if you knew if a 2002 5.3 wiring harness would work on a 03 to 07 5.3 my 03 v6 truck is drive by cable and I'm wanting to keep it that way
Should be mostly. Little odds and ends might not be the same
Your voice and accent reminds me of Dimebag Darryl Abbott, not sure if you've heard of him.
Where the Bow tie come from the glowing one
do you know what happened to adrians youtube channel?
If this truck is not 4x4 i would suggest turboing this build or procharging if the truck is 4x4 then supercharge it. My current build on my truck (all vids are on my channel) is a 2017 Silverado with :
SLP TVS 1900 PD Blower Kit,
Pulley Mod Boost to 16Lbs,
GPI Stage 1 PD Blower Truck Cam
LT Speed Engineering Headers,
Full 3inch Exhaust with Y- Pipe to a Cutout/MagnaFlow Exhaust
Transmission Thermostat Mod
Stock Gears
Stock Rear End
No Fueling Upgrades yet!
4x4
Would you be able to cam my challenger bro.? 🔥💪🏼
I just did a stage 2 btr on my 17 silverado.
S&b intake, shorty headers, mbrp exhaust and dyno tuned today only made 300 hp 370tq to the wheels. Crew cab 4x4 truck on 305 tires. Very much not impressed. Not sure what to do now.
Honestly man just sell it.. I'm in the same boat as you except my cams sitting in my closet cause I'm watching all these people spend nearly 10k to barely get 30whp back. These trucks look and sound amazing but even once you hit the 500hp mark you'll have the idea of your trans blowing up in the back of your head. And even getting these trucks to 500 is fucked.. you'd have to do a stroker kit, nos, probably a stage 4 and a bunch of other shit. Some people say they make 500hp with Cai, headers and cam with a dyno tune but after watching all these dyno test videos I just know they're full of shit.
Whats the tire size on the truck man?
Try different gear ratios big homie! And some rancing headers a corvette servo and you straight
is that with a stock muffler?
had me at runs Like stock…. honestly hahaha
I have a 2018 Silverado 5.3 FBO with l86 swap mani and tb Ported e85/93
This coming week I getting a stage 3 cam hope I can get around 420++
Howd it go
@@FelipeLopez-zr8ll like a dream bro 😎
@@flowmagic5u got a stall converter?
@@jr.zz7162 nah
@@flowmagic5fr it runs good my tuner said i would need to get one but u got a 8 spd prolly
Is that on a stock stall?
Bro I just found you after seeing this truck at yello belly last night. Where can I talk to someone about building my L83 16’ ???
Message me on Instagram @jackstandbuilds
stock converter?
What state are u in
Supposed to be making more
check engine light after a tune? or is that tire pressure monitor
Traction control
So you lost hp?
I got a 2017 LTZ does getting a cam like this affect the reliability or nah?
If youre worried about reliability, you shouldn't be modifying your vehicles. Any time you crack open a motor and start adjusting values, you run the risk of breaking something. A vehicle is most reliable at stock values UNLESS there is a design flaw that needs to be fixed (I.E. newer chevy lifter failures and coyote OPG failures)
@@TriggeredWorkz that active fuel management is pain in the ass and most definitely a flaw. My 14 lifters just went out around 95k miles.
Stock flywheel hp is 355....
Shift points should be way higher
No doubt, I got mine remote tuned by Tim Haines out of Texas and it shifts at 6k maybe even a hair over. Such a good tune. 2014 rcsb 5.3, FBO with 6.2 intake and TB. Spins through second on dry roads from a stop. About to throw in a stage 3 BTR cam/Circle D 3200 triple disc, that is the combo he recommended with the end goal being a whipple on top. Should be a pretty mean truck when I get done with it. Already is a fun truck as is!
What did the dod delete and cam swap cost?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
5k or more
Not knocking the build I love these single cab chevs in this style but doesn't 337 seem low? Ive seen fbo rigs do 350 ish without a cam, probably a difference in dynos but still pretty schweet truck if I say so myself, and definitely give it a bigger stall and gears the rpms drop more then my 4l60
Yeah every dyno reads different from experience you can goto a dyno read 450wheel and another one will say 400wheel they try to be accurate but there usually off its just more for tuning not so you can see how much power you make.
@@texasstreettunes1310 fair enough I guess the only real dyno is an engine dyno
@@chrishansen7004 it all depends on who operates the dyno some people can make it more accurate and others not so much. But yeah i would trust a engine dyno more but that would be crank horsepower. Track numbers are better.
These new gm trucks are geared awful. I think they have 3.42 rear end ratio if I’m not mistaking
@@jacobsmx6163 I’m putting 4.10’s in mine
Doesnt that truck come with 355 hp stock so it made less power with the cam🤔
Same thing i was thinking 🤣
355 hp to the crank.
That was 340 to the wheels. The loss from crank to wheel a stock truck probably makes roughly 270 to the tires
It’s probably 355 from the crank. The Dyno measures hp from the wheels
Nice truck bro! That thing is gunna really pick up some acceleration with headers and a cat delete, mines got headers, cat delete, l86 intake manifold and TB, and a custom 93 tune by elvis custom tuning.. not cammed yet..
Heres a quick video I made after work the next day it was hot as fuck tho and the new TB was still kinda learning..

Comon!
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Could have picked up all that power just buy swapping in a 6.2l no tune or cam needed.
Fassssst as fukkkk boi!
So…cool and all, but all that for essentially 35hp 🤔 The kit was what $1500-$2000, another $2k to install..plus $$ to tune.
Thinking there would be more …at least 50-60hp to the wheels..before headers and cat delete…
That’s strange a 5.3 L83 makes 355 stock in the 2019+ I’m guessing the older engine is just that much further down in power. Strange
Probably to 355 to the crank not the tire
@@raymondharris187ok..so to the wheels 300 🤔 maybe a bit more…seems like a lot of $$$ for 35hp and a bit of torque.
Maybe the newer 2016-2018 5.3’s would be closer to 350 to the wheels…still when you think about the $$ of the kit, not to mention labour you are going to be at $4-5k for a 10-13% gain?
$5k would get you a decent SC installed 🤔 Well maybe not quite, but it’s getting in the range
The truck makes 355hp stock, that's about 267whp. Now he's at 337whp. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Well made video but what a freaking waste of a cam. Slap your tuner for setting your shift points/redline at 5800 on a cam that needs to run to 6300 to even hit peak hp. I’m banging gears at 6100 on a stock cam lmfao
I was thinking the same thing!
@@jackstandbuilds I’d go back for an adjustment man. Even on stock cam the few hundred extra rpms make a big difference in acceleration, you’re higher in the power band after every shift. I think you would have hit 350hp or better with redline set over 6000. Mine is just street tuned with FBO and E85 but according to my tuner who has dyno’d a ton of these trucks I should be touching 330hp or so now and 360-380 if I was to go cam…I decided to go S/C route instead, I’ve got a ported LT4 sitting in my garage and I’m gathering parts for a 550whp build!
@@jackstandbuilds who tuned it? James Karger did my car at anything auto
@@jackstandbuilds badass truck🔥🔥why not go to the stage 3 cam? What the difference from the stage 2?
It’s definitely not cammed
Quickly starting to learn these trucks arent worth building, they look and sound good but to spend nearly 10k for barely 30whp is pathetic. Not to mention once you do get over the 500hp say bye to the trans in quick time. And even then if you want to hit the 500hp you better hope there's e85 stations in your area or else that's not happening
