- 1965 Shelby G.T. 350 Muscle Car Of The Week Video #17
There are restored cars, and then there are cars that are restored with nothing but original, date coded, non-reproduction parts. This week, we're featuring an amazing 1965 Shelby G.T. 350 from the Brothers Collection, an awesome example of the early Shelby G.T., and it's wearing a Gold Level Thoroughbred restoration with a Certificate of Authenticity. That means it consists of all original Ford & Shelby parts, and it's like a brand-new car.

Love the Ford 289. So much performance potential from such a lightweight small displacement V8. They were capable of 400+ horsepower with the right mods and tuning. The B/FX 1964-65 Mercury Comets we're running in the 11s powered by a hot rodded 289...which is in the same territory as the R-Code 427 cars. Maybe my favorite small block V8 of all besides a Chrysler 340 or Ford BOSS
Had a 66 that looked just like this car but was only one that I made to look like that. It was a 302 4 speed and in perfect condition, the sweetest looking car I’ve ever owned, was 22 then and it got a lot of attention, I bet it would really get some of me driving it today at 54
My favorite Stang ever besides a 69-70 BOSS 302
What impressed me as a kid was the oval air cleaner with cobra emblem. I can tell if they are genuine by the sound. I use to ride to school in one on rainy days. On weekends my friend's dad had it on the Riverside Raceway. It was really torquey when stepping out into the intersection and everybody turned their head at the sound.
What a awsome ride and time capsul.
ART...JUST A FINE PIECE OF ART?😢FKN BEAUTIFUL
I put my 289 hypo into a 65 Falcon hardtop along with the Paxton supercharger, when all was said and done it made over 500 H.P.. I miss it more than anything else that I've sold.
this has to be one of the best,if not THE best car you've
Love hearing it run thanks for the Video...
65 is the purest year
That 289 Hipo was such a great engine and a great balance for the small mustang.
This car is cherry baby
GORGEOUS car..........and to be certified all original, down to every piece & part, even the tires. Amazing. That must be another reason they don't drive it at all ( except in parking lots ) other than "keeping mileage and wear & tear to a minimum".... is what we are told about "out-dated tires". For example, NO TIRE SHOP.......not even USED tire shops will even touch an out-of-date tire ( tires DO have expiration dates ) because not only is it ILLEGAL to commercially sell out-of-date tires, even in brand-new condition, I'm told they can blow out at any moment while driving. This even goes for the newer radials......same law. I can only imagine how possibly dangerous the old bias-ply tires would be as out-of-date. I guess the law allows ONLY show cars that are NOT to be driven on public roads to be equipped with these ancient tires.......and yes........the tires on THIS gorgeous GT-350 are indeed "ancient"........lol. Not that I personally care........just thought I'd share this info for those who may not know. GREAT VIDEO, AS ALWAYS ON THIS CHANNEL!!!
Kevin, I saw one today at a local car show. It looked just like this one except for the wheels and tires. It had the craiger mags. Tires I had no idea. Not sure if it is Brothers Collection condition but very close. It really is an amazing car. The body design team deserves a shit ton of credit because this car looks great from any angle. Oh, and later in the day I went to MCW and there was video #17. Thank You.
Nice - thanks Kev. I am a Holden (Chev) fan in Australia and that is one nice car!!
Hell! I will drive it!
What a car!!!
It was the ultimate mustang
Absolutely gorgeous! Can you do a video on 6S2378? I believe the brothers own that car.
