Rene Wise on Hor! This is a must, techno masterclass.
Its great that they don't just have the biggest names on all the time, it is an underground channel but they seriously do get some amazing DJs in there. Like the best of the best that aren't regularly headlining huge festivals. Its really great.
Techno. In perfection. His own productions already clearly move into this depth, in which I feel so comfortable. As a DJ he knows exactly where he wants to go with us and there is nothing that limits him. Simply perfect. Hypnosis and March at the same time.

Some things are either good or bad but things like this you either like it or you just ignore it. Absolutely no reason for anyone to go out of their way to "dislike" music like this. Its not for every person in every situation, but its definitely not offensive enough to warrant a dislike.

Does anyone know why these mixes tend to be a little darker sounding than the actual tracks? Like it almost sounds like the highs are rolled off a bit for everything played

The analogue circuitry of the mixer (xone 92 in this case) will add a bit of warmth, but also the shitty youtube audio algorithm compresses the sound and reduces the bit rate to 128kbps; Which in return, rolls off a lot of clarity in the high end.

This style of techno doesn’t really stand out. Pretty overhyped :(
Actually, its the things that make it bland to you that is what makes it great to others. Its not about strong melody or a lot of variety, its about finding a groove and staying in it for an hour or three. Its the things that make each track sound similar that I like. On a dark dance floor this would be a great place to lose yourself. Maybe not so much sitting at your computer...
