She is one of the true greats. The only female inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Country Hall of Fame, plus just for good measure, the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. She was the top selling female artist of the 1960s and the Beatles were actually HER opening act. She's still with us and doesn't get as many props as she should because she is a sweet unassuming lady. She takes her place among the early pioneers like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline.

Brenda Lee, born Brenda Mae Tarpley, started performing at a very early age and became the major breadwinner for her family when her dad was killed on the job when she was 9 years old. She had her first hit at the age of 12 with "One Step At a Time" in 1957. She was produced by Owen Bradley, who also produced such greats as Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. "I'm Sorry" was released in 1960 when she was only 15 years old.

She is one of the greatest crossover artist ever. She was a huge country singing star who also did rock & roll music.
Her most famous song is the (1958) multi platinum song title "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." This song is played everywhere around the world during the Christmas holidays. And it has become more popular due to being in hundreds of movies over the years. If when you go shopping in many stores during the Christmas season. This song is being played over and over again. That is how popular the song has become. It is also one of the most played songs in movies.
The song "I'm Sorry." Came out in (1960). It went to number one in both country and rock music charts. She was a small package, and a bundle of energy set to music. You can never go wrong going down the rabbit hole that this Brenda Lee. Great reaction as always...
Note: Here are some of her best songs to react to. The End of the World (1963), All Alone Am I (1963), Fool Number One (1960), Losing You (1963), Sweet Nothins' (1960), Jambalaya (1963) perform live on the Ed Sullivan Show. This song you must react to. She breaks down what Jambalaya means. She first recorded it back in (1958).
