I usually write them after I watch the videos, but this time I wrote it right after I made the derby battle in BeamNG.Drive in order to remember what exactly happened in order, it was completely improvised, there were a lot of failed attempts, for example both engines breaking after the first crash, cars getting stuck in trees or in each other (the exo roll cage always gets stuck in trees even after slightly brushing them), or cars flipping and landing on the roof while trying to turn or reverse (happened to both cars a bunch of times), or just one of the cars winning too quickly in an uninteresting way. Once even one of the truck wheels got randomly stuck in the ground while driving which broke the whole truck! Overall using not fully dev-made vehicles for derby battles is not a good idea because parts often get stuck, even Sergent Fido said that he would have to redesign the whole body of his cars to make them suitable for real derby battles, the derby configs look good but are not the best for car battles, unless you want your fascia get stuck in the opponent's bumper!

BEAMNG NEWS episode 57
Top story: There has been a lot going on today - lots of crashes, police chases, a new Car Jump Arena championship, Bridgesgone stealing a bridge in Utah - but I'm pretty sure everyone only cares about one thing that happened today: The final of the presidential election of BeamNG Land, in a form of a derby car battle between the two candidates! It took place on a dirt track called "The Big 8" instead of on a normal derby arena, due to the size of both cars - a regular arena wouldn't be long enough for them to accelerate! After all, one of the cars was a big 80s fullsize car, and the other was a pickup truck with big wheels! The rules were simple: if your car becomes immobile, you lose, and if you don't lose, you win. Now, a quick reminder of who were our fighters: in a fullsize car built out of parts of various Chevrolets and Oldsmobiles, Stanley Stigman from the Reformative Party, this year's most famous oppositionist, and in an offroad pickup with some parts from a Roamer, George Crashington, the former president of BeamNG Land from the United Dummies Party. Now, let's get back to the battle itself, wich was probably the most intense derby battle in the history of BeamNG Land:
Both candidates started their engines and started driving towards each other at high speed. Upon seeing both cars on the same track, everyone could compare the proportions: while the fullsize was longer, the pickup was overall bigger and seemed more durable. Knowing that a head-on crash with a truck equipped with a giant push bumper would shatter his car's engine, Stigman decided to go for a side impact. The rear wheels of his Oldsmobile weren't made for a dirt arena though, so a drift attempt resulted in a rollover, and the car landed on a spiky bush, bursting one of the front wheels, which made the steering even worse. Fortunately, it landed on wheels, so Stigman could continue fighting. Crashington's car had a bigger engine and had gained more speed though, so a side impact wasn't possible at first. Instead, Stigman decided to avoid Crashington's attack and start driving in the opposite direction, causing his enemy to do a quick turn to avoid hitting a tree, which broke the front driveshaft of the truck. Luckily for Crashington, it still had a working rear driveshaft, so he started chasing Stigman. Meanwhile, Stigman was driving fast and was much ahead, so he decided to trick his oponent: he turned left into one of the arena edges, took a big turn around and went for another side impact. Unluckily though, he didn't know about the broken front driveshaft of Crashington's truck, so he assumed that his opponent was going faster than he really was, and he made a blind jump into the place where he expected the truck, but there was nothing there, the truck was a few metres behind. Stigman landed hard, breaking the steering a bit, and was accelerating towards a wall! He tried braking, but one of the front wheels was broken and the rear ones had bad tires, so it didn't help so much. He crashed straight into the wall, breaking his car's front bumper, radiator, hood and fascia. The car could still turn and drive, but accelerating too much was too risky because it meant overheating with the broken radiator. Meanwhile, Crashington turned around and was about to ram into him at full speed! Luckily, Stigman managed to accelerate enough to reduce the impact, but he also overheated the engine too much... He managed to get back on the road, but the car was now really slow and couldn't escape another collision. Seeing this, Crashington decided to drive uphill, accelerate down and finish Stigman! And that was his mistake... He rammed on the side, breaking pretty much all body panels there, but his truck bounced off and fell out of the road, landing on its side! It couldn't get back on wheels due to the broken front driveshaft, and the eigine got locked up because of oil starvation! Meanwhile, Stigman's engine was barely working, but it was still on, and the car could still drive slowly but surely, making Stanley Stigman the winner and the new president of BeamNG Land!!! Congratulations!!!
Now, the comparison of the destruction of both cars for whoever is interested: Stanley Stigman's car broke the front bumper, radiator support, radiator, front fascia, front suspension, one of the front wheels, steering with steering box, hood, rear panels, both front fenders, both left doors, front right door glass, all the glass on the left side, one of the roof spotlight and the trunk, while George Crashington's truck... only broke the front driveshaft, got the engine locked up and damaged the windshield a bit!
Crashington has admitted his defeat, but at first he was really angry because he could have won if he wasn't so confident. Then he calmed down and congratulated Stigman, saying that he hopes that he will be a good president. Stigman was surprised because he had expected Crashington to demand another round, and Crashington just explained that he was too tired, which makes sense since not only did he go through a derby car battle, but he also built the vehicle for it himself. Congratulations to Stanley Stigman for winning, we hope he will be as good of a president as George Crashington was!
In other news: The Crash Hard Company has announced something really unusual yesterday at evening: apart from cars, trucks, offroad suspensions, crash test offroad trails and movable sheds, they will now be also producing... dummies??? It may seem extremely weird at first, like, how can you produce living, intelligent dummies, but once explained, it all makes sense. We all know that a body of a dummy is not as flexible as a human body, it only has basic joints, that's why dummies can't do some things that humans can do easily. The dummy body is also not very stable, for example it easily breaks joints during sudden hard impact, like rollovers or off-road crashes. All dummies wish their bodies had a few little upgrades.. And that's exactly what the CrashHard Company is about to make! They have introduced an ALTERNATIVE DUMMY BODY. It has more complex joints, making it almost as flexible as a human body, and it's much stronger than the normal one! It has an openable head, and any dummy can just place his brain there and it will feel like his normal body but better! What's even cooler is that once the body is finished, it will be a FREE addition to every puchrased CrashHard vehicle! So far it's just a prototype, it lacks feet and hands, but in a few months it should be finished! It was tested in an offroad H-Series and it didn't even break a single part during an offroad course that included a rollover and a cliff drop! The parts will probably much more expensive than normal ones, if even puchrasable on their own at all, but will really be worth buying it - no more breaking body parts during offroad crashes!!
Special announcement: As you most likely already know, we have a new president, Stanley Stigman! We wish for him to be as good as the previous one! He will begin his official duty tommorrow, and I will probably get fired and replaced with one of his supporters, it's always like this in mainstream media.
CrashHard is working on a dummy for his offroad vehicles!! His dummy is much more realistic than the normal one! It's a side project so it will take some time, but it will sure be worth it! I wonder if it will be possible to put it in the 8x8 truck, probably not due to node and beam limit. But it will be possible in the Offroad Barstow and Offroad H-Series, so maybe in the normal versions of them too? We will see!
LOL! Finally we have a new president! The battle was awesome, exactly as I expected! I wasn't sure about the outcome though, in fact I thought we might had a different result, hehe!
