I will explain: After the Ottomans vasalized the principalities the rulers alway tried to backstab them so to prevent such actions they decied to put in power Greek rulers called Phanariotes the Phanariotes where Ottoman puppets Who executed every order of the sultan this rule lasted until 1821 When an uprising (Who happened simultaniously with the Greek Revolution) toppled the phanariotes in Wallachia and led the Ottomans to retreat theyr puppets from rule

silviu stăicuț Actually, the Greek Revolution originally started in Moldovlachia (or Danube provinces), or today's Romania and Moldova. Iasio (Iași) was the city that the Greek Revolution (only the first stage) began, because in Moldovlachia there was a very big community of Greeks (there are some till this day) and, also, Filiki Eteria was established in Odissos (Odessa).
Keep in mind that Wallachians (especially Vladimirescu) and Filiki Eteria were allies, at least in the beginning. Then something happened with Vladimirescu and he was killed. Maybe he backstabbed Eteria, but we don't know. I don't understand though, why Vladimirescu had good relations with the Anti-Ottoman Filiki Eteria, but had also sent a letter to the Ottomans that his objective wasn't the rejection of Ottoman rule (but his ally wanted the Ottoman rejection), but that of the Phanariote regime. That's strange, it doesn't make any sense to me.
Another reason why the Greek Revolution started so far from Greece, was to distract the Ottoman Empire in order to move a big part of their army there so that when the Greek Revolution's next stage started in Peloponnese, there wouldn't be sufficient Ottoman army to end it. (Sorry, it was a long comment)

Fun factoid: The United Provinces of Central America got their name and their flag from the United Provinces of Río de la Plata (Argentina) because they looked up to them and their Independence Wars.

Not just looked up to them, they were directly liberated by an Argentinian fleet led by the French corsair Bouchard, who assaulted the Spanish ports all the way from Costa Rica to California helping the local criollos in kicking out the Spanish. He even got to Hawaii and got Hawaiian tribesmen to attack Los Ángeles, one of them being the one who took the Spanish flag down and replaced it by the Argentinian one.

Actually El Salvador changed the stripes and banners flag when the United States army invaded Nicaragua (1927). We did it to show support to our brother nation, also antiimperialism movement was becoming very strong at that time.
For me it's kind of funny because during the mexican Iturbide empire El Salvador tried really hard to become a new state of the US, but we got rejected :v
It was mostly to prevent annexation from Mexico.

If I'm not wrong, the design on the flags of the centroamerican countries also comes from an "argentinian" infuence. During the independence wars Hipolito Bouchard, a french born sailor, was comissioned as a privateer by the goverment of the United Provinces of the River Plata (eventually Argentina) to do a campaign in the Pacific Ocean against the royalists. In their travels fighted many times in Central America, and the flag of their fleet inspired the design of the flags of Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua.

I just got back to Panama from Texas. It was a last minute ticket, and the cheapest I could get had a horribly long itinerary. On the way down I had a 5 hours layover in San Salvador, El Salvador airport. At the gift shop, I got a full size El Salvador flag for the collection.

I was exited to see this video but now a I'm a little disappointed at one little but kinda significant fact: That you've passed that the flag of the United Provinces of Central America was inspired on the one of the United Provinces of Rio de la Plata (Argentina). The colors of the central american banner were taken from the national standard of Bouchard's ship as he sailed from Buenos Aires to California. I'm not boasting anything but this is kinda important fact... :/
