Oh man memories...Moved to Houston after getting married. Use to drive that when I had to get equipment when I worked for DirecTV. I recognize it all...Now I am divorced and back in Ohio lol
@Freewayjim thank you, i was over there recently visiting family for the holiday break and driving through those roads was one of the ways i would just relax. also great job on the facts, i didnt know that the multi-level interchanges like the 610/59 had the name stack sand were not that common
Love your videos. I find our big city's freeway systems simply amazing and modern marvels much like you do!!! If you had to pick a city with the most impressive freeway system which would it be?
And that jumpy "Pierce Elevated" is exactly like the I-10 west of East LA Interchange lol. Although your new camcorder completely swallowed those bumps :)
+American Roads LOL - i live in LA and thought of the same exact thing before the comment was even shown on the video - i was like - "wow, this is the 10 in downtown la" - :)
hey there - just wanted to say thanks for all the videos - i'm a real nerd when it comes to this kinda stuff and this is one of my favorite that i've seen you post - mostly cuz of the song, but its perfect for the time of day. these are just small ways that we can "visit" places that we've never seen before. thanks again for your work and sharing with everyone! :)
The Katy Freeway is so impressive as long traffic is going great. Surprisingly, traffic on Katy Freeway from 2008 to this year thanks to the widening, traffic has now gained over 65%.... no wonder why it took me over 2 hours to go to Beaumont and we was a few miles away from Downtown. Traffic in Houston makes you go crazy I swear 😂😂
What exactly is that strangely shaped overpass at 2:58? LOL @ your commentary about the Pierce Elevated section of I-45, "like riding a wave runner." Never thought of it like that before, but that's a pretty good analogy. Thanks for the soothing ride thru Houston.
Those "flying highway shields" always look so cool to me. I thought only ScrewdUPClickV2 videos have that. Didn't realize you were using this technique too.
@leoninja Texas and California have the most. Otherwise there are few sprinkled around other parts of the country, There's only 20 or so east of the Mississippi river that I can think of.
Especially The Great Overflation Logo By Guru.
Welcome to my town...drove I-10 for years in that killer traffic...glad they have expanded it...nice ride!
you have my hometown, AWESOME!

Yes indeed, there's quite a difference in those two camcorders.
+American Roads LOL - i live in LA and thought of the same exact thing before the comment was even shown on the video - i was like - "wow, this is the 10 in downtown la" - :)
American Roads g
Your advice made me laugh cause I-10 is swallowing those bumps

+Rich Bowman Thank you for the kind comment and for watching.
+Freewayjim I re-shot this road with a much better camera on the 3rd stage of video #15-08. czcams.com/video/AfIbP3PfMQI/video.html

@FreewayBrent Glad you enjoyed it! Strange indeed @2:58, I think it's just a diagonal thoroughfare, gotta love that 1960's construction.
Houston#1 especially Katy freeway!
@ScrewdUPClickV2 -Thanks! This one was fun to film and put together,

11 years too late but that’s an elevated railway crossing.
@leoninja Those stack interchanges sure are common in Texas :) I relax by driving around the highways too, great minds work alike!
Nice job. Love the at dusk rides.
Those "flying highway shields" always look so cool to me. I thought only ScrewdUPClickV2 videos have that. Didn't realize you were using this technique too.
I did it first if I recall, notice I have not done it recently.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 I luv your city too! especially at night.
@Freewayjim are stacks not common elsewhere in the rest of the country?
We have a couple in Detroit, but not too many outside of here in the north
@leoninja Texas and California have the most. Otherwise there are few sprinkled around other parts of the country, There's only 20 or so east of the Mississippi river that I can think of.
Não me canso de ver esse vídeo, a I-10 é demais! I don't get tired watching this video, the I-10 is awesome!
+Guilherme Linhares Thanks!
Houston is stupidly beautiful from the freeway! If they're smart about re-urbanization it could end up being one of the best cities in the U.S.
@leoninja Oh yeah, shot about 10 Houston area videos in 2010.
Actually it was a Monday, early evening.
Freeway stacks aren't ordinary? Im guessing because I grew up in Houston .. that's all we have lol
Far from ordinary where I live.
This is obviously a Sat or Sun. no traffic.
🤭houston texas
Houston has good architecture but that highrise at 1:18 is butt ugly!
