Literally another example of why Sharpay deserved the role. Sharpay WAS a triple threat. Gabriella could sing, but that was basically it. She didn’t really have much stage presence and nobody knew if she could dance or not. Sharpay would have gotten the role had this been real life.

Sutton Foster is proof that you can belt high notes eight times a week for years and years and it doesn't "tire out" your voice. Because of proper technique she can still do everything she could do 15 years ago. If someones voice is getting worse over time, it's because they've been singing with unhealthy habits. So young performers should take good care of themselves so they can keep singing for a long time.

I love this. I'm so tired of CZcams comments excusing vocal exhaustion because "singing at that level will always tire out your voice!" There are some vocalists that I love and appreciate but still recognize that their technique is poor and that will cost them longevity.

Her live performances, especially more recent ones, are really strained most of the time, I really wish she had learned better technique because she one was such a triple threat. Excuse me, where is Stephanie J. Block??? She may not be known as a dancer, but she took over for Sutton in Anything Goes and the only things they changed were the wig color and the standing split. She flawlessly executed that choreo, and if that doesn’t qualify her as a triple threat I don’t know what will

"You can't dance or sing in musical theatre without acting". Well... depends on your definition of acting, but sure you can, and many people do it :( But luckily there're some great talented actors, singers and dancers like these 😍 Such a great compilation!!!
But I also would have enjoyed watching them with some text, it's also not easy to do a believable performance, especially with some profund roles

Its interesting to play Patti and Sutton's versions of 'Anything Goes' back-to-back. Patti clearly isn't the dancer and mainly has people dance around her (an old pop-star trick), while Sutton is right in the middle of the mix, splits, flips, tap-dancing, twists, twirls and all ❤❤❤
