Hi there, is this engine out of a truck? Would a 6 cylinder iveco engine from a truck replace a 4 cylinder iveco engine on an excavator? If there was space... I have looked into it and I'm just wondering if the truck injector pump would govern the fuel the same as a stationary engine when it's under load? Is there an industrial 6 cylinder pump that I should be looking for? Do you know anything about balancing shafts? Is it the industrial engine or truck engine that has them? Or both? 4 cyl might have the balancing shaft for tractor application But for industrial machines where engine is mounted on rubber mounts some might not have balancer shaft For example likes jcb3cx engine has no balancer and same engine for tractor has one
The injector pump had originally 3200rpm govenor spring so all needed to be done to adjust the trothal arm The fuel pin i cut with the angle grinder simple enough you just need to mesure maximum movement in the fuel pin and grind it out This engine with bigger turbo and bigger intercooler should do about 270hp no problem
Sounds about right as 6BT's or other engines in similar sizes to the 8060.45'S idled around that. Never forgotten how high both engines could rev though

Sounds like a Cummins 6BT and the later Tector engines are more or less the same as the Cummins ISBe's
Yes this engine is also 5.9 litre
And the new FPT engines ar similar to 6.7 Cummins

There is no balancing shaft in 6cyl
It runs smoothly
And be pump should govern the speed no problems

Just this one timing is out a bit
Because diffrent pump fitted to start it

What do 8060.45S's usually idle at? 800rpm?
750 but depends on the application it can idle as low as 500 and be ok

Do 8060.45'S produce 230bhp stock? If so that's not bad for a 5.9l engine.
