- In this episode I get the rare opportunity to ride my Honda CRF250L through the Etosha Heights Private Reserve. What an incredible experience to be face to face with lion, elephant and all other sorts of wild animals. I follow Esso on his daily duties around the reserve. He rides his motorcycle here every day, checking the fences, making sure the water holes are full and checking up on the health of the animals in the meantime. What a job!!

Esso puts his life on the line every day. Brave man.
I hope Europe enjoys Africa through your journey as much as we South Africans and Namibians do!
….. and as much as this West Australian also - who, like so many others around the world, admires and respects this young woman and relishes her videos she shares with us. I reckon it’d be fair to say she is loved internationally. She’s a rare phenomenon. By the by, much of the country she rides through is very similar in appearance to areas of northern Western Australia - minus the ‘dangerous’ wildlife.
@@macalacalan1175 thanks for telling us we've not been to Australia yet
I never knew your part of the world was as beautiful as it is. Great people too.
The United States is sure enjoying it!
Africa still has some wild life Europe has destroyed all of theirs.......food for thought. ... ..
From those grey days in the Netherlands learning to ride different disciplines with the Dutch Police, seems like a lifetime ago. To the girl riding the African plains with lions is a giant stride to look back on and be proud of.
Ride safe Noraly. 🙏
That guy sure knows his footprints. Amongst 100's of prints he was able to pick out specific prints....wow! 🐾
I couldn't do what you do. I am a strong hardworking woman but your bravery super exceeds mine. Thank you for your bravery and your strength and your ability to do it all on your own. Very inspiring.
The only thing I hate about Noraly's videos is that they end... 🥺😪
Well support your comment. Cheers
@@derrickfelix6206 me too..... from Milano 🇮🇹 Italia
Luckily, she makes a new one every day
Buuut if your patient she will re appear again in only a couple of days with another wonderful episode for all of us all to enjoy. Hopefully, unless an elephant doesn’t get too feisty and spoil things! Pretty amazing that these rangers manage to get around on motorbikes, what a job, hey mate what do you do for a living, I try to dodge elephants and lions while mending fences!
Well said and totally agree 👍🏽
“There is a lion 50 meters from me,” is, I’m pretty sure, not a phrase I have ever spoken while riding my motorcycle. What an incredible video! Also, on the one hand, Esso has one of the coolest jobs on the planet. On the other hand, I hope that little 200cc Yamaha is in excellent running order!
Excellent point, dependable and speedy to stay out in front if chased!
I've been chased by a dog. Does that count? What Noraly is doing is truly awesome, in the true sense of the word.
Yep, my fence inspection bike of choice would be a KX450
I am sure he has his bear spray and whistle. Ha ha😜
Having been chased by a grumpy momma brown bear on my Suzuki DR650 I have to say that the burst of speed from a 200 or 250 would not be my first choice.
Simply incredible to be out in the open on a motorcycle mingling with some of Earth's most wonderful animals. Thank you Noraly
Another one of your EPIC African adventures meeting wildlife up close. AMAZING Thanks Noraly!
Lions can be almost invisible! I was driving through Mikumi game reserve in Tanzania when I decided I needed a stop to get out of the car and take a leak. As I was about to open the car door a huge male lion stood up barely six feet away. His colouration had blended perfectly with the dry grasses. I decided to hang on for a bit longer!
There's a guide in KNP who walked into a pride of lions. You couldn't tell who was more surprised between the two
Ms Noraly, my wife says I spend more time with you than her since I found your videos. LOL. But, she has watched some of the videos and totally understands why I am so interested. I am truly enjoying your series. You not only have some of the most beautiful videos but also do a great job narrating them. Really educational. I have ridden motorcycles, dirt bike, motor crossers, flat trackers, drag bikes, and street bikes, for 65 years and also have many videos and still pictures of some beautiful places, mainly in the North American continent, including the lower 48 states of America, all the Canadian Provinces, and all of Alaska. In addition to the videos and stills, lots of mental pictures. At my age now, your videos will be most my motorcycle trips now. I have watched all of series 6, and most of 3. I am now watching series 5. I never knew the South African area was so beautiful. Thanks for the memories you have shared with the world. Keep up the good work. Your recorded memories are truly a blessing for an old rider who has had to hang his itchy boots on the wall.
Special permission - only for special people - once again, you've outdone yourself Noraly!
Great video Noraly. I am so glad you are getting to know Africa the way it should be known. I have been very privileged to have been all over southern Africa, (SA, NAB, ZIM, BOTS, ZAM and Mozambique) on foot in the wild. It is a great feeling.
This morning from Colorado, I got to see wild lions, zebra, elephants and giraffes thru the eyes of my friend, Noraly. Thanks Esso for taking care of her and Savannah. Thanks, Noraly! 😎
I've fallen in love with Namibia 🇳🇦
Pay us a visit, would love to host you
It’s great. You should visit. I’ve been twice already. Going for the third soon.
I'm glad to see Esso is wearing SWAKOPMUND VELLIES!! what a LEGEND
Noraly, You have millions of fans that just love you so much. Stay strong we all look forward to your travels. Three times a week you take so many around the world with you. You help out so many people and I want to thank you for that. Ride save & ride strong!! 👍✌🏍
Noraly
Wow!😮
Thank you for sharing your special experiences with us all.
Big respect and much love 🙌
Lions like any other animal run away from unknowns. To them it’s a “creature who makes noise and runs fast = human on motorcycle”. To elephant it’s a different story. They don’t fear anything because of their size, and IF they run away, it’s to protect their little ones. Animals are fascinating. But still, you have to be really brave to ride a motorcycle through their territory. Thanks for the video Noraly.
Lions don't run away fool!
As Noraly mentioned, Esso rides a motorcycle through that area EVERY DAY to check on the fences. Obviously, other vehicles transit that area routinely to repair the fences, and maintain the water pumps for the man-made watering holes.
I love it when people somehow claim to know what is happening inside an animal's head and what their thought processes are.
I have to disagree. Lions don’t back down and they are usually in a pride with 10-15 lions and probably more. I’d be afraid to drive on a motorcycle where there are lions and also hyenas.
Hats off for riding bikes in that environment. On the wrong day, wrong place, wrong time you could become meals on wheels! 🤣🤣
Only Noraly could see wild elephants, lions, zebras and a host of other animals all in one day! The drone footage was phenomenal! Ride safe Noraly and thank you for these beautiful videos of your adventure.
Yes, and her comment about the zebras was hilarious 😂: "Run horsies!"...lol
What an awesome amazing opportunity once in a lifetime to see the park in the eyes of the everyday employee. Noraly you are a ture ambassador of kindness and wholesomeness.
Wow, what an opportunity be able to ride inside of the private reserve. Noraly, you continue to take on these opportunities, and for that reason this is what makes your journey such a treat for us.
Exactly ❤🏍"WindSister" never underestimate the power of a woman who sets her mind on something! Way to go, Noraly!!
Okay, I always thought Noraly had the greatest job in the world. Now I have to give it to Esso. What a cool job! You’re still a close second, Noraly.
Elephants and elegance, motorcycles and magic. I’ve just come to this Channel and I love it. Thank you so much Miss itchy boots!
Noraly, your videos are a gift to us all! Thank you!
I could hear the adrenaline in Noraly’s voice when the Elephant was nearby! Amazing stuff.
A truely "once in a lifetime experience"! Thank you so much for taking us all with you. Exceptionally blessed!
I really enjoy all your seasons Noraly but this Africa-Season is something super special! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us!
How I miss my home land Namibia. I grew up in the north, not far from the Etosha-Pan. The nicest time of my life!
The music together with the drone footage got me the goosebumps. The rest was pure excitement. Noraly you have become a true professional. What an exciting episode. Excellent!
An experience of a lifetime. I bet the feeling you get when you mingle with wildlife is mind-blowing. Very sad to see how much we all are missing in this tech savvy world and at the same time very happy that you are living these experience to the fullest and also sharing your experience with us. Thank you Noraly, wish you all the best in your future endeavours :)
Well written, tech enabled us to travel with her.
Also it keeps us home staring at screens vicariously living through other's adventures.
HOW do you become so lucky to find these occasions to ride upon a reservation/reserve? OMG that was amazing, thank you!!!!
Appreciate the deciphering of animal tracks! All the sand that Noraly has ridden through in recent weeks have lots of stories to tell. Am enjoying these videos immensely!
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE ! I can’t believe how close you were able to get to so many species. I’m sure them seeing Esso on his bike daily makes them a wee bit calmer but it is heart racing none the less to see any of them walking toward you. Thanks for letting us ride with you through this ride of a lifetime! 🏍🇺🇸
Dang…not to self…don’t edit your comment to correct bad grammar…I lost my Itchy Boots ❤️ like in the process. 😜
A woman was killed a couple of months ago in one of the national reserves in an open air guide vehicle .The cat jumped in and tore her arm off and then dragged her off and ate her .The big cats are far more dangerous in the reserves because they lose their instinctual fear of human beings
@@tetedur377 lol…it’s my curse. I cherish every one of those thumbs up. No more corrections for me if I screw up. 😂 I’d rather take the heat from grammar nazis😜
I didn't see esso carrying a weapon(as he should), maybe gavin was the one with the guns today to protect itchy. I wouldn't worry too much about your grammatical errors as long as it's understandable!
Good morning Noraly, it is just past midnight and a big 👍's up.
The excitement and fear (adrenaline) in your voice is something so many of us will not get to experience. Thank you for sharing an incredible experience.
OVERWHELMING, what else can I say ? And Thank You for this episode !!!
And a special Thank You for the guys of the Etosha Heights Private Reserve, who let you enter by motobike and let you fly your drone.
I guess, only by their permission, these unique video sequences were possible. Noraly and you, guys, you are great.
Wow was envious watching your last upload but today beats that, this is turning into an adventure of a lifetime now, allowed to ride and fly your drone in a wildlife park unheard of, fantastic one to remember wish I was there.
No solo biker is currently doing a bike blog as informative, interesting, and challenging in my opinion.
You are one brave girl, hoping my daughter will follow your footsteps and do something like you. Dont stop.
He is very knowledgeable. I bet he learns a lot on his job. He has a cool job! I would like to hear his stories.
No place to have a puncture ....
Also in this episode: "Giving the term "Zebra Crossing" a whole new meaning!"
jup, certainly don´t wanna have a defect in those areas :)
Hi Noraly, Loved the comment at the waterhole as you gingerly look around 'so maybe we should look out for the lions too'.....Well I certainly would, and that would be from an enclosed Landrover. Another great experience shared, thank you. Be safe 🦁 x
I thank God for His beautiful creation and thank you for sharing your great adventure with us you tubers .
Noraly, thanks for reaching us this wonderful places, the wildlife had been preserved.
What a beautiful morning landscape, what an exciting adventure patrolling between these wild animals, what amazing drone shots! I'm blown away! I sat extra close to the TV screen so that felt very real!
This is going to be an awesome ride today! Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us. Stay safe and keep well Noraly.
Now that was an exciting adventure Noraly! Thank you.
Everything was just gorgeous....wow
Noraly, my coffee got cold, completely forgot to drink it. Great section, and then the little cliffhanger you just make for the next one. Can't wait.
Another EPIC Adventure with Itchy Boots! What a fantastic way to start my day. Coffee & Noraly & Namibian Wildlife. Respect. Life is for living to the fullest. This woman is qualified. 🥰
All of the big game is here, so funny 😂 😹
You are one very lucky person who took a chance and got out of Europe when you could. Thanks for everything you do.
I first read about Etosha Park in library books when I was 9 or 10 years old. I'm 82 and I feel as if I were finally there. Thank you so much.
Only Noraly can find the daily patrolling job on a bike in the un-ending wilderness fascinating!
I wonder if I didn't come across Noraly's channel accidentally what treasures I would've missed! Thanks to Royal Enfield Himalayan 'cause browsing CZcams for Himalayan landed me to Itchyboots and the rest is history!💖👍🏼🙏🇮🇳👌🏼
I know I'm not the only other rider who would consider this a dream job.
same even i found this channel in may last year, when i searched himalayan review. i think this is the best accident ever happened to me.
The lion is thinking.mmm meals on wheels. Great vidio 😊
Merçi Noraly pour les traductions en Français les reportages s'ont super VOUS ETES SUPER BRAVO.
In the old days there was an ad for Esso petrol “Esso sign means happy motoring…” certainly applicable for this vid 😁👍 yet another great video
I recommend Esson baariin
I am certainly old enough to remember that:).
Pity there are no Tigers, could have put one in her tank🤣(Old Esso advert in the U.K.)

Now it gets a bit scary Noraly taking "meals on wheels" to the lions.Take extra care Noraly and stsy safe brilliant video xxx
Yes , she wouldn't want to be lunvh for one of them
I can watch it all over again and again and again…thank you for the awesome video Noraly!
Awesome adventure Noraly! Thanks for taking us along!
Awesome👌👍😀. All the best from sunny South Africa 🇿🇦
Noraly, the geatest experience ever being in the wild, you are so privilaged, enjoy
All of your stops have been most exciting...until this one! WOW!
Great footage of Etosha. I was there on my Bike in 2019. I wasn't as lucky as you to ride in the Reserve with my Bike. Thanks for sharing
Great experience to be a visitor in the land of these magnificent beasts. The sunrise and sunset activities at waterholes are amazing. They call a truce and just do what they have to do. Thanks for this trip Noraly. Reminds one that we are experiencing the great symphony of nature....which we just cannot appreciate in city life. You brought back memories of three days and nights of a visit to the Masai Mara...Thanks again.
There’s always THAT moment of realisation that you’ve entered the food chain…
Speaking of that food chain, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of places for the Zebras to hide. I’m guessing they don’t live that long with Lions so close.
@@professorvoluck9311 Consider whether you've ever seen an old zebra or antelope of any kind. ;-)
I was in the Wyoming wilderness once making dinner at a campfire when the wolves began howling. All around us. Not likely to forget that.
👏👏Beautiful video..thanks Noraly.
OMG….what an experience! Thank You for taking us along for the ride! Incredible!
Thank you Noraly for this exciting adventure! Can't wait for the next follow-up episode.
People use the word "amazing" way too much for things that really aren't. I never use it, but your journey through Africa is truly Amazing, with a capital "A".
absolutely magnificent to see. Thank you Noraly!
Funny you switched to dutch seeing the lions, but damn woman you are brave, Hear Noraly Roar!!!! hahahaha
Nothing like a charging elephant to get your adhrenelin flowing! You are an amazing human being Noraly, you have me sitting on my seat every day waiting for your next episode and I am never disappointed.
Thank you for helping us explore, Ride safe... Big fan ❣️
Howdy IB! Great episode! Thanks for taking us along! I know some farmers to the north of Etosha and lions and elephants are always getting out and some become “problem” animals and have to be dealt with. Others live outside the park In conservancy lands and are tolerated because of Namibia policies encouraging locals to not poison or shoot them. It is a delicate balance when a cow is worth more than a lion. Saddle up n ride on!
A friend of mine was visiting a game reserve with an open Jeep, they saw a big flock of some kind of antilopes running across the road, so he aimed to cross behind the last of them, and came inbetween the flock and the lions that was hunting them.
He quickly learned to wait a bit before driving between the hunter and the prey, otherwise you quickly become the alternative menu for the hunters-
You have joined the club Noraly - Not many outsiders will ever experience what you have now done... A drive with the "Staff" is a privilege indeed... You have now made a thousand or so people want to travel to Etosha... Stay safe and enjoy...

Another incredible adventure. Stay safe, Noraly!
FYI - The average lion can reach speeds of 50 mph (short bursts) and leap up to 35'. Third gear ought to get you out of harms way... Fun to watch, thanks!
She was no where near lions on those bikes lions could have killed them in seconds about 1km away I'd say they were!

One of your best episodes. You are so brave.
When I was eleven I was sent upcountry to Mbeya to a small boarding school, the idea of my parents was to let us escape the intense heat in the dry season in Dar es Salaam and like you I sometimes used to hear the lions roaring in the night, the deep roaring sounds travels for miles and miles, quite scary.
The original zebra crossing 😂
A mechanical breakdown could make for an interesting day !! I assume he carries a weapon for that possibility. The aridness of that continent is mind blowing. Nice episode , Noraly.
What a great job Esso has. It has its dangers, yes, but to just be out there in nature. Wow.
What a blessing to wake up to lions roar.
Join Esso and ride the unbelievable ride.
Now fly the drown and ride beside Esso is something else, well done.
