I knew a sweet couple in Tennessee that had homestead in Alaska. While they were there they opened a pizza restaurant. They loved it there! What an experience for Xander!! One heâll never forget! I enjoyed watching these videos!! It makes me want to go to Alaska!
I have family who live in Anchorage. They own a bakery/coffee shop. Then, I have missionary friends who live in Nilnichik. I've always wanted to visit both families. Thanks for taking us along on yoÏ r Alaskan adventure. It was a lot of fun!

Oh my. How adorable Zander is with his ENORMOUS PERSONALITY!! Loved you sharing your trip with us especially through the eyes of a child!!!!!
LOL! Watching you trying to figure out how to get your Halibut home reminded me of what I did to get Reindeer Sausage, smoked Salmon, and other food items home to Arizona. I unpacked my large suitcase, boxed up the contents, and shipped them home UPS. Then I went to the Alaskan Sausage Company and shopped to my heart's content. I FILLED my suitcase with their meats and fish. They packed everything with blue ice to keep everything cold for the flight home (our temps in Arizona were still in the 100s). When they weighed my suitcase at the airport, it was one pound under the maximum limit (Darn! I could have fit more Reindeer Sausage in there). Everything arrived home safely, I put several packages of the sausage and meats in my freezer so I could enjoy and share them throughout the year. Then I found out they have a website so I could order more!! I was very happy! Watching your videos reminds me how much I miss Alaska. Wish I could turn back the hands of time so I could go there in my 20s and have my own homestead. Thank you for the memories.

Ah this makes me want to go back to Alaska. I have a brother who has property in Glacier View and I have been there a few times. I agree, once you have fresh Alaskan salmon, there is NOTHING like it!

I think I definitely would have considered going to Alaska after watching your vacation! Cruises never appealed. Homer looks cute, but very busy - I wonder if it calms down once the kids go back to school in September? How did the Halibut survive - could be a disaster if it thawed in your luggage! Hope not, it's a lovely fish & costs a fortune in restaurants. The pizza looked fun - the crust very yummy, I like apricots and chicken so I'd like! And I love lupines too, such a happy flower! Great viedo. I watch Legglife and they go to Homer and all the little towns. They talked about Moose pizza place. A little boy love his rocks. My 5 year old grandson everyday on walk back to house from bus stop. We gather and play with rocks, have a bowl of rocks in my home.

Awesome last video of your trip. That pizza looked incredible and so did the Gelato. Hope your fish made it home safe. I prefer salmon but my hubby loves the halibut. My favorite fish is artic char. I haven't had for over 20 years. I do get some dried trout usually around Xmas in a care package from ex clients I nursed in Labrador and that is amazing. Yes I like fish! Lol.

Oh my, oh my, so much emotion last vlog, no.3 by far my favourite, then no.4 comes along⊠boats, children and open water, my worst nightmare đ„Žđ, I had to fast forward, I would have had Xander wearing four life jackets and locked inside đ!!! Hope the fish made it home safely, as I know you did đ
I was so surprised the skipper didn't insist on him wearing a life vest as other children on the boat had them on..1 slip and he would have gone through those ropes and gone overboard..
