"A suitcase we'll be unpacking for the rest of our lives" - that is the best description I have ever heard. That will stick with me.
Such a great description of losing a parent. "A suitcase you'll never completely unpack." It's been almost 23 and 13 years and I'm still unpacking.
9 years here as of this day for one parent and more than 30 for the other. Can't even bring myself to touch those suitcases to unpack them. Too painful.
only 17 years for me and I don't feel like I have a suitcase, it's like, he died, so what? It would be weirder if he didn't. But I'm a weird one.
I’m so sorry your loss
"I'm not gonna be the pretty one..."
Um.. where's that lawyer kid... this needs to be argued against.
Yeah. She's beautiful but she's not _classically_ beautiful. She has her own beauty.
She came to fame in an era of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and other pretty teen stars.
But Pink was something different, had a personality. Liked her way more than the others
@@elvis1745 , same. I bought that first cd. I was generally into more alternative and indie music.
Stephen's quiet "why" after she said that... 🥺
Pink's new fragrance: 'Regret', one word, that's all that's needed. Plus, it would fit perfectly on the bottle...
She’s awesome and yes, will be unpacking that suitcase until I get dead.
Sad about losing your father _and_ relieved that he’s no longer in pain? Definitely been there. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I usually skip the celebrity interviews. But, Pink is one I feel better listening to. No harm, no foul, but she inspires while some others chat about their movies.
Yep I feel the same way, I'm a 63-year-old white male in the US Midwest and love Pink... possibly the best concert I've ever seen was with Pink in a local bar (only about 1000 people) in Indianapolis in 2007. It was her "I'm Not Dead Yet" tour during the Bush and Cheney regime and she sang Dear Mr. President to close the show, powerful stuff!
The interviews are the best part and PINK is usually nervous for these but Colbert was wonderful with her.
If there is an extended version of her interview PLEASE share it! I could listen to her for hours!!!❤
Same
I know right 😊
Same!!
And if there is the Colbert Questionaire, please share it. ❤
She's is real, unfiltered but still has a class. Keep doing everything a way you do. 🤩
Pink-
"Will you save me a place
with all those pearls of wisdom?
Yeah, I'll make some mistakes
and you'll watch me as I live them
'Til I'm through, 'til I'm with you."
Always been a PINK huge supporter, big fan and love and admire her relationships, attitude and LOVE languages
Adore you 💗
Smiles, hello Joanne 🌺😊
I have a lot of groups that I can say I love but as a independent singer, I think Pink is the most incredibly talented person in the music industry. She's down to earth and she is so funny and gets the world.
America finally appreciating pink after all these years
I just went back to find video of that Grammy performance. OMG!!!! Stephen, you undersold it!!!! Holy shit!!!! She always amazes me…..😮😮😮😮🥰
I'm off to find that too...
This song has helped me unpacked 3 suitcases my mom when it release my niece in November of 2023 , and a friend last week.
Looking forward to the Sadness and Regret scent
So true! The day after my mom died (rest of the family is gone), my suitcase opened on its own. The journey is day by day, filled with, joy, laughter, sadness, pain, and a multitude of emotions I have no words for. However, I am grateful for the journey.
She's right about that... my mom died May 10, 1979.... I'm still unpacking that... but it does get easier... with time...
Lost my mom in February 2015. We just passed 8 years since she left his Earth. Still unpacking. And it is always there. Miss her everyday
@@marsmama3919 when dealing with grief, it does help to know that you are not alone... I have found that sharing stories about my mom does help... they're not gone if we remember... also, I do have a favorite story about her sister, my Aunt Gertie... now, my mom came from a family of ten, but she was especially close to her older sister Gertrude. We would stay over regularly, and Aunt Gertie, like me, was an early riser. I remember getting up before dawn when she was making coffee. She would make me hot milk, add a bit of her coffee, in these fancy cups, and we would sit on the porch and watch the sunrise! I'm in my 60's and still drink my coffee "Aunt Gertie Style" : French Roast with honey and cream and watch the sunrise every morning! Now, my mom would always take me downtown the day before Thanksgiving. The Chicago department stores put on such a show... the decorations were amazing!! Then we'd return the day after Thanksgiving and everything was transformed to a winter wonderland!! I truly believed Santa and his elves did it all!! Telling you these memories has brought me great joy, and I thank you for that!! Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
"I've always said death should be a release, not a punishment."
-King Einon, Dragonheart.
Sorry for the loss, but glad his pain has ended.
Having lost a daughter at age 30, after 12 years of cruel pain from a genetic condition, I absolutely agree. I miss her every day but I don't miss that pain.
I'm not sure that quote entirely applies since King Einon was making a joke about murdering someone for fun, and Pink is speaking from thoughts of love and mercy.
I really adore Pink. she is so down to earth and intelligent, then you see how beautiful and funny she is. Pink is brilliant!
Smiles, absolutely beautiful indeed, feels really great listening, how are you doing? 🌺😊
20 Grammy nominations. I think its time to protest the grammy awards. 3 Grammy awards is not enough. This is a really good CD. Especially, "When I get there" so Grammy worthy. Love that she is always getting standing ovations.
I agree with her about losing a parent I lost my father in 2010, and it still feels like yesterday.
Lost my father in 2016. He's in an urn on my mantle piece, and i can't bring myself to put him beside mom in the cemetery.
Lost my Dad in 2010 as well. Lung cancer miss him so much, but I was not sad to see his suffering end.
I absolutely love this heartfelt interview between You & Pink Stephen. Great Chemistry & informative, warm and real.
The song was Absolutely Stunning. I was in Tears. Thank You for yet another amazing show🔥🙏❗💙
Smiles, hello Mary 🌺
I imagine my dad is somewhere showing off how many keyboards he can play at one time when I hear this song and how he has gone back to the way he use to play not how he was getting into a struggle at the end even in pain he wouldn't give up his music.
Someone has put a scent out with her name on it here in Australia.
I love P!nk for being such a passionate talented singer and a passionate individual, always encouraging, always outspoken. She is role model for sure, so real, so genuine. Even when she talks about her past insecurities or doubts, she is open about them, that it screams confidence. Absolutely love her!
Yep same here, I'm a 63-year-old white male in the US Midwest and love Pink, possibly the best concert I've ever seen was with Pink in a local bar (only about 1000 people) in Indianapolis in 2007. It was her "I'm Not Dead Yet" tour during the Bush and Cheney regime and she sang Dear Mr. President to close the show, powerful stuff!
And so compassionate
Also, she often talks about not being the pretty one. But I think she is gorgeous.
Pink is GORGEOUS ❤️🥰
I had to watch her interview more than a few times. Thank you for having her on the show
Pink is glowing too much.l love her.she is very beautiful
Brilliant woman, can't wait for the European tour!
I can never take my eyes off her, i DO love her, i wish i knew her, like really, as a person, god she's just amazing.
Cool lady. Much more engaging than many musical guests. If she didn't have the music, she could have made it in stand up.
Pinks a great singer and sounds like a genuine person.
So funny and beautiful and talented.
She's awesome
embrace P!NK: "we are all walking around in a low level of STRESS"
Smiles, hello Margaret 🌺😊
I lost my dad 20 years ago and it feels like yesterday.......
I still talk to him and a d k for advise..
My D a day was my ROCK!!!!!!!
Awww, so sorry about your loss Diane, my deep and sincere condolences, how have you been? 🌺😢
I have her video in my "watch later" since the day it was put on youtube but I can't bring myself to watch it or listen. I saw a super short clip and I bawled like a baby. I really want to watch it and listen but I am an emotional wreck the second I think about losing my mother. I don't care your age, their age, how they died, or how long they have been gone, it hurts.
Awww, hi Wendy 🌺
OMG I can so relate as losing a parent most cer IS like a suitcase you much rather not unpack yet leave beneath your bed!!
❤😊
I wear his sweaters and golf cap 😊
I would buy Sadness and Regret by Pink
I need her on The Voice. 🎤❤️
Gotta say, if Pink gets tired of singing, she has a great career in stand-up. Girl is FUNNY!
She's my favorite celebrity
Thank you for sharing your time with us. We look forward to engaging with your continued work. May the road rise up to meet you. May the sun always be at your back.
I lost my father to cancer when I was 23. I am still unpacking that suitcase.
Pink is awesome! I met her at a punk show in I wanna say 2001 and stoked on all her work and accomplishments! Legend
I was on pain management for 7 years, morphine and hydrocodone, and I never once thought up a cannibal chipmunk! Hilarious
She is amazing and so talented!!
Love Light Peace 🌺🍃🌸🍃🌺🌱🌹✨✨✨✨✨✨💫
Smiles, hi Linda 🌺😊
Love this
It wasn't until I lost my last grandparent that I realized how terrifying the idea of losing my parents is. I can't imagine the world without them.
Sadness and Regret by Pink
Hair!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love her so much!
Well this interview was good, but have to say it was painfully short.
But do a lot of people know she was an R&B artist when she first came out. Her very first CD was very good.
Thank you P!nk, great memories of listening to Can't Take Me Home. I wish you only fond memories of your father.
Pink, you are pretty.
YOU ARE FANTASTIC
OMG, Pink is as old as me! 🙂
P!nk’s music stays with me.
FAMILY PORTRAIT was relatable. And you know what? This one too.
How I miss my Dad so much. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. 🥹❤️🙏 stay blessed.
Always been a fan of P!NK but even more so now. I just lost my Dad 11/04/22....my 23rd anniversary was the 3rd and my Mom's 85th birthday was the 5th. I made Dad promise he wouldn't go on either of those days so he chose the one in between. Thank you #PINK for this beautiful song....
The OG Sunday Night Football artist cerca 2006 😻
Awesomeness ❤
She's JUST MAGIC!!!! xo
Pink, we are happy about the concert that will take place in July 2023 in Poland ❤ PLEASE DON'T BE SAD that we don't know English well 😉 You are our friend, we welcome you with all our hearts.
It's gonna be a great party. I will watch videos on CZcams💎🎩
She is adding more shows because she is selling out
Just got the album today and this track made me tear up. So beautiful 💕
God she is great
im sorry to hear about her loss with her father it really is difficult and painful that can never change when you lose a loved one
Nice,, hope she's moving back to New Jersey.
had the biggest crush on her back in the early 00s
♥️
Pink could definitely sell a perfume.
You don't get over losing a parent you just learn to live with it. I lost my mum nearly 3 years ago and I wonder what she's doing, if she's OK now out of pain. This song expresses the questions ur left with beautifully.
Awww, so sorry about your loss Anna, my deep and sincere condolences, how have you been? 🌺😢
3:43 Pink, I lost my Mom in August of 2021, I understand completely and am still not unpacked
Hate me is my fav
someone please start a psych-metal Pink tribute band called Cannibal Chipmunk
"I'm not going to be the pretty one."
Like hell you're not.
This was Big omision from the research team. Hey Stephen the song she is singing is about his father who passed away a couple of years ago.
I lost my dad September 2021. She's right. It's not long at all.
Awww, so sorry about your loss, my deep and sincere condolences, how have you been? 🌺😢
@@georgemelvin7687 I'm usually fine. Every once in a while I get reminded that he's not here anymore and it feels like a gut punch but I just let myself feel the loss and it soon moves out and I remember with love.
@@MKPiatkowski I understand how it feels losing a loved one, my wife passed while having our daughter, also lost both parents due to car accident, wasn't easy for me though but I'm grateful to God for today 🙏. God knows best for sure and He'll definitely give us the grace and strength to push through 💪. It's really nice hearing from you, where are you chatting from?
She sould do standup ,,, too
💝
💯🇵🇱
🌬🐎💕
Smiles, hi Kathy 🌺😊
The beauty of the Music Industry now is that we no longer need the Industry, just the music. Cut out the middle men and the fat cats. Play for yourself and not worry about anything else.
🎀дякую🇺🇦
Seriously So Loved 🥰 my oldest daughter adored you which made me love you even more. SANDRA KAY ARMSTRONG FOR INDEPENDENCE PRESIDENT 2024-2032; Thank You 😊🙏
Smiles, hello Sandy 🌺😊
An interviewer shouldn't have to ask which parent she's lost. Do your research.
Oh honey... he didn't ask because he didn't know: he asked for those watching who might not. Hence being sorry but "have to ask". That's kinda his job... plus it sets up the song that is the current single
@@fionam7768 oh honey... Watch all her other interviews. They didn't ask, they said sorry about your dad's passing. That would let her know they knew and also inform the audience. That's a better way to handle that situation. Thank you for your time honey.
I think Pink’s dad recently visited me. I was in my car just eating something and I felt someone looking at me, yes, you can “feel” a stare.
It was a black chipmunk on a tree looking deeply at me from above as if it were about to jump at me.
I got a picture of it. A little scary
Smiles, hi Maria 🌺😊
I just lost my Dad
Awww, so sorry about your loss Valerie, my deep and sincere condolences, how have you been? 🌺😢
P!NK’s scent should be ST!NK. Seriously.
They are obsessed with “kids you may think it’s cool but don’t throw your siblings down the stairs” or smthg. Bc I laughed at NM GITMO when that was said.
He didn’t like Grover
They are obsessed with Danny and Amy song I listened to during that time period. I moved on from that. He’s cool but we are different.
I love it when the beautiful don't feel like they are "pretty", now that is funny dear one
Pink remember that time you did your free mason's initiation at one of your concerts, still part of the brotherhood I see, the Great God shall judge all of us.
I was sad when she talked about her dad passing and did not acknowledge Steven's loss as well...maybe she doesn't know but it just made me sad. That is all.
If it helps, they don't meet for the first time on the stage - I'm sure that was part of the 'human being' conversation rather than the one that takes us as an audience into consideration. Which is why he asked which parent - he will have known, but some of those watching won't, and given it's vital context for the single that has been released, which is why she is there rather than with her husband and kids, they both need Steven to focus on the purpose, not the human connection. Plus SC quite possibly doesn't want to talk about his late parents/brothers/who knows who else he has lost either
@Fiona M of course he does. He always does with guests who have gone through the same. You must not have been watching him long.
@@blessedveteran , he doesn’t bring it up every time.
@@naylas3908 🤦♀️
My dad crashed my brothers car into a bunch of cars in his condo complex ended up in the hospital diagnosed with Alzheimer’s moved to a nursing home diagnosed with dementia when he passed in November 2019 I thank God for taking away his pain and suffering. He was 81. I also thank God for convincing my mother to go visit him & he remembered her ❤ they had bad divorce after 25 yrs of marriage.
Artists today can unfortunately, use auto tune so, in that sense, the industry has made stars of those who can’t sing like Pink. Yes, we do have many brilliant voices, but also many who, without auto tune, would be mediocre at best.
I'm sorry? You think she can't sing? wow.
Her scent is her wine. Im just sayin.
Smiles, hi Heide 🌺😊
funny, sexy, smart, awesome the part with the vag*na was to woke for me though bc I have a p*nis and it's tough for us too, so no need to stress that part.
Not sure why they had an Elon musk lookalike at the train station who looked at be like you did colbert. Good question.
