- In this video, I am creek crappie fishing from the bank in TEXAS. This is a two part video, on day 1 I am crappie fishing with a jig and bobber, and in part 2 I am crappie fishing with live minnows. You can find these crappie spawning in small creeks in the spring time. These crappie in this creek prefer live minnows for some reason, probably because it is what the naturally eat in the creek. If you're going to eat them it doesn't matter how you treat them, but if you're going going to release them, you shouldn't drop them 8 feet into the hard dirt and let them bounce into the water.

Maybe just me but throwing those fish back in that small of a creek you're probably running the rest of the fish out of there maybe put them all in a bucket until you're done throwing them back in the hole like that might decrease your odds😊

You should work on your release game.
lol it’s a 15 foot ledge, what do you recommend?
You could use a long pole dip net. Place the fish in it, and lower it down. Be closer to the water. Might keep em from smacking the side of the bank.

There was no way to get water in the bucket it was so steep! You don’t have to keep EVERYTHING you catch. Unless you just want to.
