For anyone reading please look up the TUG test (Time Up and Go). It appeared on my practice exam (AANP) and the actual exam. I had never heard of this before. Hope this helps someone!
I remember Bouchard as brass knuckles.
good one!
I’m only 5 minutes in and grateful for this!
So amazing! I never paid for a crash course, just studied using resources like this and passed my boards on the first try!!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for posting this Brittani. Extremely helpful and practical presentation. I love that you included what to expect on our board exams!
Another way to think of Herberden's and Bouchard's is H is distal (DIP) to the start of the alphabet where B is proximal (PIP) to the start.
Also important to know to are specific lumbar root findings:
L3-L4 - will have quadricep weakness with diminished or absent patellar reflexes. Screening for L3-L4 includes squat test.
L4-L5 - will have weakness or dorsiflexion of great toe and foot, pain radiating to lateral calf, or numbness of dorsum of foot and/or lateral calf. Screening test includes having patient walk on heels.
L5-S1 - will have plantar flexion of great toe and foot with diminished or absent achilles reflex, pain along buttocks, numbness to lateral foot and/or posterior calf. Screening test includes having patient walk on toes.
Hope this is helpful to someone!
Important addition. Thank you
Great review! Thank you.
Super helpful video! thanks!
Brittani, I'm so grateful for what you're sharing I can't thank you enough..
You are so welcome, Blue Family! Thank you for your kind words!
Love the colors, pneumonics, and images! We are very similar in our study style. This will definitely help me on my AGNP boards!
Glad it was helpful!
I like listening to your lectures. Thank you!!!
You are very welcome!
I am 3 videos in and really enjoying this review. I am sitting again in 2 weeks, I have already completed the Fitzgerald and Leik review. This is very straight forward and the mnemonics are very helpful. I wish I would have found you last year when I had to retake.
Thank you for the knowledge
Glad it helped you!
Thank you for making these videos! I am doing the Walden Crash Course and she said acetaminophen is first-line for OA. Is that for mild OA and then you move up to NSAIDS for moderate or severe?
according to uptodate, it is not recommended as 1st line analgesic anymore ...
The OA is too dark to read but the material is excellent
