"Friends...... huh......" LITERALLY what every single Nygmobblepot shipper (and yes, that is the ship name for them, just deal with it LOL) has said ever since those two became close. You need to react to more Gotham vids, or just watch the show as it is, it's really cool. And yeah, they are totally in love with each other! Maybe Oswald fell first, and sure, maybe it took a decade or so for Ed to catch up, but yeah!

These two should have gotten married. They were a hilarious duo and recreating that in comics would be amazing, though their personalities in the show aren't exactly like in the comics. I highly doubt DC comics would dare, but it could work with the right writers. Everyone loved White Knight's Joker, who was explicitly in love with Bruce.
In the Batman universe, I'd recommend:

Their relationship is so special. It's my favourite part of the show. Even if they didn't go down the love route, they just make such an iconic and dynamic pair. But I am glad they are... I guess as canon as we can get, given Fox's censorship on going full on with a male/male pairing (they really did these two characters dirty in that regard). There was a particular line, for example, that was going to leave it up for interpretation, but it was changed without the writer's consent. But viewers aren't stupid (well... there are a few deniers, but like COME ON!), and the show still does a good job of basically saying "they're together romantically", but it's never outright said (watching the show will give you a better understanding, as fanvids, as amazing as they are, can only show so much).

YES to all this. I really wish shows (and storytellers in general) wouldn’t sacrifice interesting storylines to repeat the same plots over and over in order to reinforce well bigotry. It’s so boring!!
Yeah the Riddler is more subtle in his reaction and they tried to… no homo him I guess, but he was truly obsessed with the Penguin when the latter wanted nothing to do with him lol and had some inexplicable uh hallucinations about him.
