Good to see budgetary aspects of election promises coming up for discussion. When we were growing up most people thought that Govt's have bottomless pits of money. No Govt can spend more than what they earn in long run. Of course they can run deficit budgets but can't be in deficit forever as cost of interest payment gets passed on to citizens. We should hold Govts to be responsible in their spending regardless of which party runs the Govt
