  • I mounted my GoPro Camera to my hard hat at school to film us hanging 3 phase lines to dead end. This was a simulated work experience at our school. Enjoy!!

Love all the safety gear these days. I started climbing at 17. I'm 53. We free hand climbed with only 1 safety belt. Power telephone cable tv fiber. Done it all. Linemen are the backbone of America. Been called Linetrash all my life and proud of it.

To all the guys talking shit they are new to the trade , instead of just telling them what they did wrong explain to them why. I’m a Journeyman Lineman and we all made these same mistakes. The way you get better is to learn from them. Good job guys keep working and learning. Everyone in the comments must just be Gods gift to linework.

Never post line work videos unless you know everything is one hundred percent flawless.... even if it's perfect, someone has something to say.... dont ever give up... grow from the comments... your goal is to be better and smarter than yourself every damn day..... and dont ever say something is not possible.... dudes used to set poles on the sides of mountains with mules....

You need to have someone teach you how to position yourself on the pole. You need to be inline with your work. All youre going to do is wreck your back in that position. Also don't use that type of grip on acsr wire, use a crescent grip. It's smooth and wont damage the wire strands. Best of luck in your career.

it is apparent they are in training. 1) he did not put the cotter pin all the way in and it will vibrate out as he left it. 2) they do not know how to operate the hoists. 3) you do not use guy grips on conductors as they will cut into the aluminum. 4) all their tools are bright and shiny, i.e. no use yet. i weary watching them!

Instead of just using rope you could have used a sling to put on the back of the cross arm, it would have been a lot easier and less time consuming.

Not bad for some rookies keep it up you'll get there , as many men on the ground that wire would've be hung with the hand line, good job for the experience level
