Try some Bare Knuckle “The Mule” pickups and give us a review!
I basically owe these guys for renewing my passion and joy for effects and guitar. And for buying digital units. Thanks!
I think the analogue tech companies will be heavy competition against the digital world in the next few years. I’m a Kemper user and my interest has been peaked with what Thomas Blug is doing in Germany with his AMP1 models. AMP X in 2022 will be a real contender!!
I am in my late 50's and never bought an effects unit in my life! I tried a Headrush Pedalboard last year and sent it right back. Honestly I am scared of these things because I work on a computer 40 hours a week so the last thing I want is to work on a floor computer! But the fact that this would allow me to expand on the genres of music to play is drawing me to it! I'd probably have no patience whatsoever to build patches! So I am still on fence about this, but I I buy one it will be this one over the others after watching videos on all the others. I don't how you guys do it to work simultaneously with all these modellers! My brain 🧠 would explode 💥!
It takes only a few days to setup patches. Go with the first thing that works. Once you're done you're set for life!
Ha around 13:30 is exactly why I haven't made the leap from my trusty pedalboard, to one of these all in one units! I'm sure they're great once you figure them out but if it's not broke, I'm not fixing it, still loving my valves 😜
Frankly, I would have put a pair of Gibson Burstbuckers in that PRS. Possibly gold-colored covers… i think covered pickups would look more classy, and you can’t beat Burstbuckers for tone !
I especially like the look of the pickups. Gives the guitar a special custom look. I think Bradford is actually jealous 😉
I love how much time was spent talking about the helix on an FM9 video. Both great units.
We're in a golden age of guitar tone.
Y'all should try Lundgren, they are known for their high output pickups. BUT they have vintage and vintage hot pickups, HB and SC. Maybe something different? They're all handmade by Lundgren himself.
Thanks fellas, just got my invite to purchase a few hours ago.
That’s great! Could you let me know when you signed up for the waitlist?
It's sweet ! I did the same thing to my Gibson Axcess. And added cream colored knob's. Sounds and looks great !
So. I got on the waitlist on 2 Sep 21. From my understanding they are still working through names on 27 Aug...
Dump the pickups…. Go for Chrome Covers…. 👍🍻🇺🇸
I absolutely love the double cream pickup look. I'd go with that for sure!
I just got my FM9 Turbo after being on the waitlist for 13 months
Love your videos!! Bradford seems a little occupied… lol
Thanks! He was answering a lot of questions in the chat.
@@worshiptutorials I know just teasing.. love you guys!!!
The best part is I get to keep buying basically the same thing over and over and over and over, but this one, over and over and over, dsp, and over and over, it actually doesnt do this, and over and.....
Wish I could use the reverb chip for amps cuz I sure don’t need all that reverb.
I use a Mesa stilleto in church in aniso room of course lol also a vintage Laney at times. Beem thinking of a modeler BUT I'm a tube snob so I'm hoping these are worth the price. Helix was junk so I'm still using tunes lol
The ability to edit on the hardware is great. However, the real beauty of the Fractal ecosphere is the software editor.
In honor of the FM9, it would be nice if Fractal would put the FC12 or FC6 on sale with a deep discount.
I waited for almost 8 years before finally getting a Fractal unit, the AxeFX 3 in this case. The FM3 just didn't have enough power or footswitches. Always loved the Ax8, but it was older, and a bit dated when I was looking to buy.
I wish this was available when I was in the market.
I installed the Marshall 45 presets yesterday into my FM9 but I’m not getting any sounds from it and it’s only those presets becaue the stock ones are ok…..any idea what could it be
Check the volume block
Honestly.. it's tough! Because the plethora of choices out there makes it difficult for the guitarist on a budget to say "this is where I'm gonna invest my $$$$!" I have a history with Boss, digitech(dating myself) and now I've been with fractal for a few years! The FM9 seems to be the natural evolution and the culmination of fractal's R&D as well as listening to users. Once again no matter how good your amp Sims are you're still the same player! Some "feel" better than others but the quality is pretty top notch these days for every brand, across the board, to stay relevant in this competitive market! Honestly I'll probably be going with the FM9 when the time comes after all I've seen and heard.
My guess is 2024 announcement & 2025 (10yr Anniversary) release of the new Line 6...Felix, Helix 2.o, Hilux, DNA, Chrono
Curious if Bradford received his FM9 yet. I've been on the waiting list for a year now.
Ok Bradford , can you now demonstrate and give us an idea on how you run 2 Kemper profilers.
Check out my board rundown on here from a few years ago. I just treat em like amps :)
hi Bradford, Im about to change my kemper for Fractal FM9. I find Kemper does a thing to the overall tone, Accentuates the mid range a lot. And its hard to get rid of that. But I do see you prefer Kemper as far as Amp Tone. My main reason to switch to a FM9 unit is because I find it has a more "organic" real amp tone, definition, than the Kemper's ? Would you be kind to elaborate as to Why you prefer Kemper over Fractal ? Thank you very much!
Kemper are more like “snapshots” of an amp and not very interactive. Fractal/Line 6 make better interactive and “all in one” units.
Only thing is that Kemper doesn't drop a new unit every year and I personally like it much more than a Line 6 or Fractal unit. But everyone has their opinions :)
@@ejw3006 Actually, it's pretty much the same since beginning. Kemper prove it self over time (unitl now at least) and it is constantly updated.. But hey, I love them both, Fractal and Kemper. Don't need to be one or another.
@@SteveRayMorse yeah all have their value 100% I wouldn’t not consider a Fractal Unit, in fact I almost got an AXE FX and then I remembered all the artists I like have said how great the kemper is. So far it’s proven to be amazing, lots to learn, but tons to pump out
Isn’t the vibrato in the phaser block? I want to say that is where it is on the ax8
Weird seeing a video in low framerate
This was live :)
Love the PRS!!
Way off topic here but. Who sings the song magnify the lord. The one Brad you play in one of your older wideos
I am deciding between fm9 and line6helix and I’m leaning to the Fm9 .. but in Europe you pay for helix 2/3 less than fm9.. is Fm9 worth the money? (Fm9 about 2200 and helix 1450€) what do you think?
I’d put some lollar imperial low wind’s in that McCarty…hope I spelled that right
Where can I buy the Fractal FM9 ?? I'm in Brazil
100% getting this. Unless.....helix/kemper releases a brand new floor unit. Highly unlikely as kempers is what 2-3yrs old.
I'm so torn between Fractal and Line 6. The main advantage I found with the FM3 is the amp models (and reverb models). As you guys mentioned, the user experience with the Helix LT is so much better. The amp sounds are very compelling but it's hard to compromise pretty much everywhere else just for that one factor.
The UI Is ridiculously easy to use after that initial learning curve. It’s really nothing worth stressing about. You’ll be flying by in no time.
That’s true. It can be complicated, but once you learn it, it’s easy. And you can do literally everything from the unit itself.
To me, the Fractal amp models (Especially the Marshalls and Voxes) sound and more importantly feel way better and real. The Helix can get into the general ball park for high gain and clean but the rest hasn't impressed me as much as the Fractal stuff. Easy pick for me having owned both a HX Stomp and an Axe Fx 3.
The interface takes a while to get used to if you're using the unit without the desktop editor but its worth the extra few hours.
without edit pretty hard to see anything. from your camera view.
Got on the wait list September 4th. Still haven’t heard anything
They’re still sending invites to people who got on the list on Aug 27 (the day it was announced).
@@worshiptutorials they just made it to day 2. 😂
We used to call that "winging it". :)
P90s would be a sweet change of pace for your arsenal.
So does Bradford prefer the Kemper?
I’m still waiting for your BadCat IR’s for my Iridium!!!
Maybe turn off autofocus on the overhead camera?
Put Suhr Thornbuckers in it!
You can tell Bradford is younger in fatherhood as he hasn’t quite taken to the Dad Rock PRS 😜😂😂
Is it possible to use FM3 or FM9 with an acoustic guitar just as line 6 multi effects? (using a LR Baggs anthem)
Absolutely. I use the FM3 for acoustic stuff. It works great. And I’m using it with Taylor’s and a Gibson J45 with the LR Baggs pickup.
Thanks for the video, some constructive feedback (sorry I was a teacher). Keep on track, time is precious, make sure your screen shots are readable. Pre run your lesson so you don’t have any hic ups. Appreciate the effort though.
This was a livestream we left up.
Nice Video!!
Is this unit better than QC?
Better at what? They all have strengths depending on what’s important to you.
So, can y'all do tone matching on the AXE III and put it on the FM9?
Yep
@@worshiptutorials Awesome!
I got my FM9 last Thursday and was overwhelmed with editing on it and the software. I've been using HX products and they are insanely intuitive. FM9 sounds great but very daunting.
nice padel

Stay with dimarzzios I love them myself.
I have the AX8. Probably not will buy the FM9
At 40:28 I could have swore he was going to say F that. 🤣
What an interesting format. Some guy yapping and some other guy typing. Good job guys on being annoying! Let us know when you plan to waste some more of our time.
Well we upload multiple videos a week. Subscribe and enrich your life!
You do realize this was a live video, right? We were trying to interact with the live viewers in the moment as much as we could.
Uh man, can you guys teach us from the beginning about those musical instruments?
I don’t like the color. I would prefer a chrome or black.
Love me some prs though
That thing isn't user-friendly at all.
double cream Dimarzio EJ Customs
Fractal effects/amps are simply the best. Line six is pretty far from Fractal quality imo I have used both. The QC is actually much easier to use than the Helix. This video turned out to be a Helix commercial, shame shame!!!
Brian here. I will admit - Helix is very close to our hearts. It was my main rig for years and years, and we make stuff for it week in and week out. It’s capable of more than most people even give it credit for.
But I did say in this video that I prefer Fractal tone-wise, and that Axe-FX 3 has been my main rig for the past several years (and i presume FM9 will be moving forward).
In my personal opinion, Helix is still by far the most intuitive system as far as UI. I think the capacitive buttons and interface is easier to use than QC, but these things largely come down to personal preference, and actually getting to know the device.
Once you really learn Fractal’s workflow (on the unit and in the editor), you realize it’s much, much more flexible and powerful than any other modeler out there. But it can be pretty confusing for a new user.
We find most people are pretty tribal when it comes to gear. They’ll defend the thing they own or prefer above all others. We try really hard to be as objective and device-agnostic as possible.
The Helix stood alone as an all-one-unit until recently. People were asking in the live chat and messaging us and posting on social media asking about the 2 units. We were simply answering questions people asked.
The helix editor and the sliders are aweful I have a rack and will be going back to fractal with the FM9
The amps need lots of tweaking and the effects are no where near the Axefx ! U need to listen live not over a compressed yt vid !!
I love the helix rack format layout
Amps are good pedals ok !!
Great product - but helix 2 is now desperately need to keep up with game !
@@worshiptutorials This is the advice I have waiting for. There are a lot of opinion about this topic, which is understandable because everyone has their own experience and preference. The positive site is that you learn a lot but on the other hand, it can also be confusing at times. So you have to choose who to trust and in this case I choose to trust you guys (WT). The fact that you guys do talk a lot about the Helix and the amount of Helix patches you have on the WT site, gave me the impression that your nr 1 pedal was the Helix.
Both the Helix and the FM9 are on top of my list and this reply from Brian has for sure help me with my final decision. I have been on the Fractal FM9 waiting list for a long time and hope to receive a mail soon to buy the FM9 Turbo + the EV-1.
@ Brian, please make a video about your experience using the FM9 live, and make more FM9 patches. I will buy a lot of patches from WT to use in the worship band I play.
is this guy on left interested what they should shoe & explain here?? types on the MAC and looks not interested at all! and by the way: tooo much talking here...thumbs down!
Replace those pickups...........
What should I put in there?
@@worshiptutorials Lambertones or PRS 58/15’s
@@AmericaWhatsup what are Lambertones?
@@worshiptutorials bare knuckles 😎
I’ve wanted to try some bareknuckles for a while.
But I do have a Lambertones Grinder/Crema set that needs a home
Bye bye helix...
Totally disagree. That tFM 9 is not user-friendly at all. The Helix is basically plug and play.
@@TheBbtlegit helix is a toy in comparison.
@@scottbrady4472 Wrong wanna bet. How many more people are using the Helix compared to that headache. Its not even close.
this video says NOTHING!! Way too much nonsense talking...
It was a live video…
