You should get the 5 yr visa exempt so you only have to do visa run every 6 months. It's very cheap comparing to getting a bunch of 1 or 3 month visas. Only thing to keep in mind is, if you only have 3 year left on your passport, they will only give you a 3 year visa exempt so you will need to apply for another visa exempt once you get your new passport.

I am staying in District 2 for the last 3 months, covering everything from food, transportation, housing, utilities and daily trip to bars for 2-3 beers, sometimes a bottle of whiskey. Pay about 2500 USD a month. I don't pay for gym membership since the place I stay in has a gym on the second floor. The food I normally eat is from a normal restaurant to high-end and sometimes buffet. My place is a 2 bedroom, about 100m2, fully furnished, had the owner converted one of the room into an office space. I also use Grab but only pick cars since I am a big dude and most motorbike Grab will have issues driving me around. Had to sign a 1 year lease for my condo, paying 1200 USD a month for it. I pay for health insurance which is around 40 USD a month, covers, everything including hospital stays in private international hospitals. I am paying on the high end but it's more of a western living standard but seen people with no issues budgeting about 2000 USD a month for a smaller housing accommodation..

    • @user-hp1gn5mg7c
      @user-hp1gn5mg7c Před 5 měsíci +1

@@creationsofmindRS I don't think you will have any issues with 2500 a month, most 2-3 bedrooms cost between 800-1200 a month. Cost will heavily depend on the area you will live for example; District 7 is cheaper but further away, district 1/2/3/4 will be closer to the central area of the city. There is also near the airport area, which is also cheap. Not sure about school fees but suggest you take a look at the local international private schools available in the area. You might need to factor in the school fees for you kid. If you don't need to stay in Ho Chi Minh city for work, suggest you look into Da Nang.

      wow, that's super expensive!

    • @user-hp1gn5mg7c
      @user-hp1gn5mg7c Před 5 měsíci

@@daruthebeast You can find less if you look for something smaller and less luxurious. Maybe in other district and budget yourself with food. My place is a fully furnished 2bdrm 2 bath in a high rise luxury apartment. I live in D2, D1 and D2 are the most expensive. I mainly eat in mid to high end restaurants and I go bar hopping a lot. Since I am not in VN for women, I don't need to pay for that, I am married. If that's your thing, then expect to pay a lot for that. If you stay outside of HCM city like in Da Nang, expect to pay less, that's where I would recommend if you don't need to stay in HCM city.

Dont compare Vietnam or Asian vs US, Western & South America & non Asia country!!
      It fails at compare already!!
Uk nowadays is shitty hole, flooding by lowkey uneducation, arrogant people!!

Druggies zombies & druggies homeless screaming top out of their lungs like animal even fk 10 floors can hear it!!
Gunpoint robbery & knife stabbing robbery over 30-40 dollars, like wild wet 150y ago!! Violent stabbing ppl to dead in brutal hateful way just to stolen some moneys for shit.
But ridiculous, these thugs will get PROTECT BY LEGAL LAWS & JUSTICE LAWS SYSTEMS!!
Ppl can fk walking safety & freely in street with their pets, with their friends k, with their family because they might get SPIT ON THEUR DAMM FACE, ASSAULT BY DRUGGIES HOMELESS, THUGS!!
Ppl cant fk walking safety in street enjoys their coffee because someone might hate your look, hate your face, hate your race!! THEY CALL IT RACIST HATE CRIMES ATTACKERS lolz 😅😅😅
UK, US & WESTERN Gorvement, lawmakers, MAYORS, DA, congress judges, keep creating UNBELIEVABLE RIDICULOUS STUPID LAWS SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT & PROTECT THESE DRUGS, THUGS & CRIMINALS IN THE HEARTBEAT!!
They’re love, cherish & worldship & bow down to druggies, thugs, violent robbery & brutal inhumane criminals as it SOMETHING PRECIOUS NEED TO PROTECTS!!
No wonder why in last 20y till now US/UK/CANADA,eyc.. is fails & falling so fast so bad downhill because they’re blinded & brainwashed!!
Law abiding citizens - working ass off pay taxes & high taxes to feed these druggies zombies, druggies homeless, welfare queen so they can have all free stuffs & stay at home to have wild sex & breeding like rats with 5-7-9 kids to have more free moneys.

Law abiding citizens get squeeze like hell, get sued for smallest things & get caught then throw in jails for smallest reason.
While out there millions & millions druggies zombies, thugs, violent robbery & criminals can get away freely, no & no jails
Even if they get caught, they facing SOFTEST PUNISHMENT BY LEGAL LAWS!! Like 1-10day in jails or 3-9month in jails then release!!
Keep doing same shitty dangerous & inhumane crimes, shooting & stabbing ppl to dead, rape & killing sẽ one, third & fourth victims to dead. Still get 2-3y in jails & release. Again & again!!
ONLY US,UK & WESTERN CAN HAVE THIS LAW SYSTEM LIKE THIS!! What a jokes!!

If you ever been in Vietnam or Asia country & all you can talk is about cheap & affordable prices, you’re fails!!
Of course affordable price is right, you’re not wrong!!
But it not biggest & not most important things to talk about Vietnam or Asia country!!
      It about SAFETY, SAFETY!!
Ppl can living in tiny-shoes box in US, UK, CAN
Ppl might suffer because high price in GERMANY, FRENCH, UK, US
BUT AS LONG AS IT SAFETY PLACE WITH LAWFUL & SAFETY ENVIRONMENTS, PPL STILL CAN LIVING!!
Bussiness owner in US, UK not even have right to protect their stores!!
They stores & private properties get burning by thugs & druggies or thrives -> it not even considered as serious crimes!!
Bussiness owner have no right to kicked & caught & beating thrives stealing, lootings!! If they did, they’re the one who get caught & get sued. What a genius laws 🎉🎉🎉
Thats why alots malls & townhouse in US, UK become ghost town, business is close & leaving!!
It become wasteful & rotting, because druggies, thugs, robbery, criminsls, shoftlifer is king & queen & FIRST CLASS PPL SO THEY HAVE MORE FREEDOM, MORE HUMAN RIGHT & MORE PROTECTS!!
there are alots JAPAN RESTAURENT IN US, UK whos is 2-3 generation working to build their family bussiness, because everyday they get robbery & thrives!!
no polite show up, no gorverment did nothing!!
they get robbery by same thug for 6 times/month.
polite still not caught this scums!!
and if this animal get caught, in JUDGE COUET TEAMS THEY WILL FIND ANY EXCUSE REASON TO DOWN-GRATE THE CRIMES TO MAKE CRIMINAL AVOID LIFETIME IN JAILS OR AVOID DEAD PENANTY!!
sometime i really think US, UK & Western is not same equal human & mindset is so different.
thats whybin US & WESTERN THEY CAN CREATE LAW LIKE THIS!!
hard to explain & hard to understand their mindset.
btw, there are American talk to me Chicagun is safery, not that bad & Saigon us so-so.
Nice try, but ik not buying propaganda.
AMERICAN & WESTERN NOWADAYS IS BRAINWASHED PRODUCTION BY MEDIA & GORVENT FOR TOO LONG, TOO DEEP. thats why rheyre lost basic common sense & lost all logic, already!!
Glaf these chicagun should stay in Chicagoan, they only derserse this!!
only ppl have brains, basic logic & have eyes not blind with open-mind have right to visit & enter & living in Asia country!!

    100$ skimp
    200$ barely
    500$ budget friendly
    1000$ middle classes
3000$ and up luxurious. Countryside and suburbs will be much cheaper ( 30-50%)

For people who are earning income from other countries , or the foreign investors or businessmen, Vietnam is very affordable, but not for the majority of the locals . Same goes to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and many other developing countries, foreigners expatriates think these countries are heaven as long as they are earning income from elsewhere.

David, from that summary of monthly $, probably safe to say it'd be average slightly lower scale of comfort living at $700/mo usd to higher end of $1200-$1500/mo depending mostly on rent that's spent - sure you can have a 2-3br in a high-rise luxury place in a prime location for double/triple that, like the place you were 'in' initially, but normal comfortable total could be as low as $1000 to $1300/mo with all western amenities and expenses, not including any vehicle purchase/insurance/licensing and taxes, medical insurance/travel fees to-from other side trips or day vacations or walkabouts you take, plus the entertainment fees of tourist-type or even historic sites you visit, and normal fees to enter parks, special events, show, alcohol and bar-type places you go, or boat/jet-ski/bicycle/horse/elephant/amusement park type rides either. So non-splurging total probably a minimum of $1350-$1500/mo lower middle end actual cost being practical and real. Still way cheaper than the cost of Aussie/USA/Europe living expense, and a heck of a lot more fun seeing it in a much different culture's less stressful healthier light rather than our western-styled gluttonous-needy-equal or outdo the neighbor type unhealthy lifestyle many of us have and live. Many will disagree with me, but this just is my jaded opinion.
