I'm broken means I'm exhausted
I'm broke= I have no money
You are right 👍👍👍
Not broken!❤
@@abclearningenglishofficial
Rephrase it, 'My bad'
I’m broken actually I Means I’m suffering from an emotional pain.
@@anumewobo6385 you're right ❣️❣️❣️
"I am broke" is correct if you're referring to being out of money or financially strapped. "I am broken" is correct if you're expressing emotional or physical distress.
You're right. That was typing mistake 😭
How was that a typo if you literally PRONOUNCED "brokeN"?
@@oiseau_libreIts an AI voice, he just entered the text and the audio was produced as it was written
I am blue because I exist in
a perpetual state of penury. In other words, I'm skint.
In all of my 78 years I can't remember hearing anyone say ‘I'm broken.’ I've read books in which a person is described as being broken by some unbearable circumstance or other, but that’s all. These AI English lessons, if they can be called that, are worthless. There is no substitute that I know of for learning a language the old-fashioned way. It's a natural process for all of us, something that we were born to do, and there's nothing particularly difficult about it. Just don't look for a quick fix from a robot.
Slang English is NOT "Advanced" English.
Exatamente
Correct, it's lower English, definitely not to be used at interviews etc.
English as he/she/I/we/they/it or whomever is not spoke, innit? What makes this robotic nonsense even more worrying is the fact that young people all over the world are learning better and better English, while many native English speakers no longer seem to take the language seriously.
Phils: yeah - what about "I'm broken" 😅😅😅😅
I just don't get Americans trying to teach English . . . 😒
The best of American English is of a very high standard. We just don’t hear much of it in films or TV, where many directors seem to prefer a characterless, accent-less and very basic form of English, perhaps because they hope it will be more easily understood by overseas viewers. Even so, the real thing definitely exists. Try American literature. You’ll be surprised. (I’m British, by the way.)
It’s an idiomatic expression. It’s not an advanced English. Don’t teach in wrong way just for earning money
Fully agree with you.
Me: Hit me up!
Friend: 🥊👊
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
What thanks 💀@@abclearningenglishofficial
Hi Sister
Nobody say
I feel blue
I am broken.......everybody is using simple English and how you learn advanced level, where you learned.
😂😂😂
I had friends that say
"Hit me."
It still makes me cringe.
This is not advance english.... this is alternative sentences it's depend on what is situation, what's your mood, who is on your front and other things
While I would not choose the description advanced as this is usually associated with academic level etc, except for clever/intelligent the "advanced" alternatives list more idiomatic expressions and should be less common among speakers of English as a foreign language than the "normal" list
And... it’s getting worse 👀
I am broke is correct
You're right 👍👍👍
You're right 👍👍👍
I am broke or I'm broke; both are correct in English. It's perfectly ok and correct to use the abbreviated version in the English language.
@@codadrumthey are saying something different tho. In the video it says i am broken. And it’s translation is not correct. That’s what they referred to.
@@Clog17 I am broken is totally wrong.
Most of the advanced ones are more colloquial, or very informal. Certainly not advanced.
Ok
I agree 100%.
It doesn't seem advanced one bit.
Exactly.. Surprised how these people take it otherwise. 😂
So true. "My bad" is merely slang.
i think it's meant to be something like dictionary vs native speaker
I feel sad=I feel blue
Now, it makes sense why Sadness is colored blue in Inside Out movie.
I’m broken …. Suffer emotionally
I’m broke…. No $$$
Polish your English please ❗️
You're right 👍👍👍
I understand you- I get you!
Clever and intelligent is being interchangeably but they are different in meaning. Intelligence is broader .
Just my opinion, The categories above should be swapped. "Advanced" should be "Normal", "Normal" should be "Advanced".
Exactly
The correct expression is "I'm broke"
"I'm broken" is used to express a deep sense of emotional distress. It can indicate that someone feels shattered or damaged internally, often due to difficult life experiences such as loss, trauma, betrayal, or intense stress.
Actually the first ones are the standard English.
I prefer to use the first
No body says I feel blue😂
But you said
I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa
I m feel red if u angry say that also ,others colours also have that chance no😅
...😂😂...I do....😂
If u say this ppl will laugh their butt's off
-Do you understand me?
+I feel you ❤
- Alo i callin the police?
😂😂
I'm not sure the police will be able to help you.
It's not advance it's just a US Version of English 😂😂😂
I saw that in this video there are 599 comments and i want to write 600 comment 😅😊❤❤❤
I lov your videous ❤❤you are best❤😊
Now it is 600❤
American teacher told that now people don't use I feel blue.
Ok
Shoulda told you that "I have wrote" is as smart a thing to say as "I have did"
Your teacher is correct. While it would be understood, and if you hear it you will know what it means, it's a bit "old fashioned" and not much in use any more. And none of these phrases are "advanced English, some aren't even correct conversational English.
The correct sentence should say Iam broke not Iam broken
You're right 👍👍👍
I don't understand why , but for me it makes more sense I am broken because of the past participle because I am broke ... broke is the simple past and doesn't make any sense ..but English is English .

I am broke means i have no money but i am broken means emotionally sad
I feel you😊
I'm in trouble > I'm cooked
I'm beat up/defeated/roasted > I got cooked
I aced/I performed very well > I cooked
I defeated/roasted/beat up > I cooked (name of the one)
Let him do what he's boutta do > Let him cook
Now i understand
I sometimes read "i feel blue" but because i really love the colour blue i feel happy even excited when i see a nice blue and had many misunderstanding then about feelings
I have no money =I’m broke not broken
Ok
totally different in meaning.
Hit me up 😂😂😂😂😂
I’m blue, blue is the color of my eyes and my hair and my money too. maybe sometimes even my sweat is blue . Haha. So much for your advanced English 😊😂
If I hadn't read the comments, I would now be using those phrases and English speakers would make fun of me, thank you people I don't know
I wouldn’t make fun of you. I remember my own struggles with foreign languages.
You're welcome. In general do not follow these videos on YT. Watch movies if you don't see people saying it then don't say it.
Blue one of my favorites colors , i think i feel red should be the Advanced words
Normal people:"I have no money"
Me:"I'm poor"
I feel you. I'm into your class. Thanks!! ❤
You're welcome 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Normal: I'm broken. Advanced: I'm broke.
i'm joyful 😊
I love it I love it I love it 💕
? xd
I'm very happy - I'm over the moon
normal - advanced (x)
what you learn - what's being used (o)
Nice very all... good lessons of English language....

We can also replace the last phrase with "He's sharp", but if you wanna say someone isn't really clever, you can say "He's not the sharpest tool in the shed".
“He’s not the sharpest tool in the BOX.” Box meaning TOOLBOX. - As an American, I’m much more familiar with it said this way. Not so much “shed.” Not everyone is familiar with having a tool shed. Regional and cultural differences, thanks!
Fascinating and there's room for improvement.
I appreciate your effort and idea.
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
In British English ‘Room for improvement’ is sometimes a way saying ‘That’s awful. Do it again.’
Indonesians say "nyastra" For the advanced. Interesting.
Australia here - I think it would be more true to say these "alternative" statements would be common in US English. Most of these wouldn't be used in Australian English - especially "I feel blue". I've never heard anyone here say that to describe being sad.
I understand you : I feel you. Dem!😂
Ok
Not correct. I comprehend you, I know what you mean.
If talking about something emotional; you can replace. I understand how you feel with; I get how you feel.
"I feel blue" isn't commonly used in casual conversation, its usually used in songs or poetry (or at least I don't hear it in the state I live).
I can't close my eye when am seeing you teaching
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
I am broke = bankrupt 😂
I think it’s supposed to be “I’m broke” not “I’m broken” :)
You're right 👍👍👍
If you are going to say “I feel blue” you would say “I have the blues” or “I’m feeling the blues”…..”I feel blue” is not normal to say at all. Maybe a 5yo kid would say that.
Lol nobody would say that. It's not the 1950s anymore
@@JesusChrist2000BC you never know what a smart 5yo would say. They can be quite perplexing. Sometimes you just don’t know where they get something’s from.
Wow 😲
Now I'm feeling blue, red and green at the same time (sad, angry, and happy)😂
I didn't know sadness is a synonymous to feeling blue, Great lesson of the Day thanks 😊
😊
People, please stop arguing about whether it's Slang English or Advanced English. These are common phrases, you will hear across US and even other English speaking countries. So, learn them rather than complaining.
As a french, the I'm into you got me up. 🤣
How is my bad more advanced than my mistake? Saying my bad sounds like they don’t care

How do you say “I'm skint” in Korean?
They're idiom 's.and its true. It's always cool
are you a native english speaker?? this video says No.
im broken is used for heartbreak, profound disappointment.
write about what you know.
good luck
I'm a robot. I don't care.
NYC we use my bad and I'm broke not broken 😂and Text and calls hit me
'My mistake ' is the way to say it !
'My bad' is by someone who doesnt know English !!! Some celebrity or some famous person must have used this phrase to be funny or foolish or to express lack of language expertise and someone thought it is advanced way of talking !!!
Please be proactive to know the difference .
Please DON'T ASSUME that whatever some star or some celebrity says, is authentic and right! They can make very bad mistakes!!!
Nice
Thanks
I guessed it all! ++ keep going❤❤
exactly my thoughts
Thank you very much !
You're welcome! It was my pleasure to assist you. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Have a great day!
The phrase "I'm broken" doesn't mean "I have no money". The meaning is totally different.
I lost all my money, so I'm broke now.
Yesterday my dog passed away, I'm broken.
I lost my pocket with all my money and IDs, I'm broke and broken.
First of all, one expression is not more advanced than the other, they are just different ways of saying the same thing. Second of all I'm broken doesn't mean "I have no money". I'm broke does....I'm tired of pseudo English teachers
Does I am broken mean I am heart hurt?
@@user-fy3nv5uc9q More than being hurt. It means to suffer emotional pain.

at times normal is good. 😊 but it's good to learn new words.
Ok
"My bad" is bad English and, in all sense, is a slang. The right form is "my fault"
Ok
Slang is not necessarily bad English. It can be a word or phrase used by a particular social group, which does not make it incorrect in context, just meaningless outside the group. Unfortunately, slang is sometimes taken to be the kind of English spoken by people who have difficulty in expressing themselves, whereas people who use real slang as part of their daily speech understand each other perfectly. It's a legitimate version of English or, of course, most other languages, but its use is mostly local, rather than general. As a point of interest, experiments have been made in teaching children using the local slang. This often works just as well as using standard English.
Third one should be I'm broke not broken that means tuta hua.
He is clever should be - he is smart cookie 🍪
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Not "I"m broken".... I"m broke!
This is so not advanced English. This is colloquial English.
Explain?
How is „my bad“ more advanced than „my mistake“? Also „I‘m broken“?
😳😳😳
I'm broke, not broken
Dunno. I'm a robot, innit?
We can say "I'll pay the bill temporarily" but It's weird if we say "It's on me temporarily", so not the same?
Beginner: 8/10
Intermediate: 8/10
Advanced: 8/10
🙂🤝🏻🫂
The Advanced for "Text me" and "I like you" have become longer in letters, so Normal is better for that
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
IN my view That Normal One Is advanced English Cz Thts The most Used So By Default It iz Advanced
